When we arrived in our room, we saw that the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. The towel of the previous guest was still hanging there together with his **** in the toilet (literally). The answer at the reception was just: oh that’s strange, the cleaning lists says that it was cleaned! NOTTTT!!!
Never ever book this shitty hotel. (Only when you want to see the **** of the previous guest)

Hotel Blue is classic, old hotel with a lot of character. Although the hotel is dated, we were relieved to find that the room was recently refurbished, with AC and great amenities. I couldn’t fault the stay, and would certainly return. Fantastic location in Katoomba!

There is no elevator in the hotel, so people have to carry luggage manually, and the soundproofing of the rooms is very poor. The room is quite large, and the hotel is located some distance away from the train. People with a lot of luggage should consider this.

The hotel is old and the space is small. The hot water in the bathroom is very hot, but the amount of water is very small. The breakfast was very delicious, without any eggs, bacon or other hot food. Stayed for two nights. The housekeeping was done the next day and the bathroom floor mats were not replaced.

In terms of cultural traditions in general, you can actually find National Geographic magazines from decades ago. If you want to understand history, I recommend it. Also very close to the city center.
