Lovely quiet location. Two lovely beaches close by. Friendly family run apartments, restaurant and pool. Really helpful with all local info needed to enjoy trips away from the resort.

Vyzantio Apartments are more than just ‘apartments’. It exceeded any expectations we had. We booked less than a week before travelled and it was cheap so we weren’t expecting anything fancy. The staff are welcoming and friendly and always happy to help. Although the decor is a little dated the apartments are clean, tidy and more than adequate. We had a ground floor apartment (there are only 12 in total) and were on the far end. Each apartment has a terrace or balcony with a bench and table and chairs. The grounds are huge and beautifully kept. The pool is warm, clean and has plenty of sun beds with fixed parasols for much needed shade. We ate at Vyzantio a few evenings. The food was delicious but could be repetitive if you ate there every night. Vyzantio Apartments is quite out of the way, which suited us. I would definitely recommend hiring a car so that you can get out and about to see the sights and get to the beautiful beaches. The mini-market is approx 10 minute walk up the road and stocks essentials at very reasonable prices and their taverna is definitely worth a visit. The food was delicious. All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, or return there myself.

I was apprehensive about this stay due to lack of recent reviews - we travelled as a family group of 10, from 8 years to 74 years and had a great time. Yes you need a car and yes the apartments are a little dated but the service with the family, especially Anna Maria and George was excellent. We ate several nights at the restaurant and found the food excellent - my mouth is still watering over the zucchini balls and the mushrooms ala crème. Absolutely delicious. A lovely setting, so quiet and rural. Tips - you definitely need a car unless happy to only wander locally and have good mobility - avithos beach is a 25 min walk down hill and is gorgeous with beach bar open late and 2 x restaurants. We discovered this on our last day otherwise would have visited several times - you can also walk to spartia beach if fit & well - mini market 5 mins walk away is well stocked and enough to make basic meal - also has restaurant attached which is super basic but another option vs eating at the apartments restaurant - spartia village has a couple of bars and Cavos Liakas restaurant which was wonderful Over 2 weeks we visited lots of excellent beaches, Argostoli a few times along with Myrtos, Assos. Kefalonia is up there with our top Greek island holidays and we have been to lots of the islands!

We had a fabulous week here...Great rooms with gorgeous views ...the kitchen only has 2 hobs and a kettle so not great if you are cooking meals which was not a problem for us as we ate in the small restaurant on site...the food was very nice especially the pizza and the icecream is fabulous 👌 the pool was absolutely amazing the water was warm and it really cooled us off The staff are very happy and so helpful..from cooking to our needs and even a lift to town when couldn't get a taxi Maria and George were fabulous The room was big with air-conditioning that kept us comfortable as was very hot our week The beach isn't the 10 min stroll it says and it's uphill on way back more half hour and it's not sandy it is rocks you have to climber over...not for anyone with mobility issues Spartia beach is a small taxi drive away 15 euros...nice little sandy beach with a nice restaurant there...had gorgeous anchovies .. Get there early for a good spot as only small and the locals use it..(beach) If your happy to just stay in the grounds and use the pool it's a great location views are amazing 👏 But if you want to explore you deffo need to hire a car Taxi into town £25 + Will definitely come back when I want to just chill in great surroundings

My husband and I stayed here last week. Such a lovely quite place to kick back and relax. Owners and staff are all very friendly and bent over backwards for you. Food was great and plenty. The apartments are really nice with everything you need except no toaster, oven or microwave, however who needs that when the food here is so lovely. We did have an issue with another family here but this was rectified quite quickly by the owners and would like to personally thank Georgios and Maria for there quick response to our needs. If you are looking for a quite, relaxing holiday with nothing to do but sunbathe and read this is the place for you.

We booked fairly last minute and it was terrific value as we wanted a relaxing Greek holiday by the pool and during the heatwave whilst we were there that's exactly what we got. The family that run the apartments are friendly and will do anything to help you have a great holiday. Nicoletta's cooking is delicious and good value and the eggs at breakfast are from their own hens. Fresh fruit juice and the bacon and eggs were my favourite for breakfast and the moussaka ,souvlaki and pasta in the evening (they do pizzas, calzones, burgers, pasta and traditional greek dishes). We really enjoyed our stay and especially the goats that wander the gardens near the apartments. The views are incredible from sunrise over the mountain top to the golden glow of the sunset. Beautiful flowers and olive trees surround the apartments. We had a duplex apartment ("upstairs") that had free Aircon and a fan which was enough to cool the room nicely even when it was 38°, basic and typical of Greek rooms but was spotlessly clean and cleaned every day bar one. The shower was excellent one of the best ones I've had in Greece nicely decorated and got very hot after a few minutes running. The pool area is pristine, well cared for and the pool was the warmest I've experienced abroad with a light breeze and reed parasols that kept the sunbeds cool enough. Beers, fresh Ice creams (really delicious), crisps, frappes and soft drinks can all be bought from the bar area to have around the pool. We walked 10 minutes to the minimarket and small olive square taverna a couple of days, the road is quiet and quite shady early morning or in evening. They sell packs of water, milk, snacks, cheese & meats and lots of fruit & veg & other essentials. Again, run by a lovely family who are so friendly and hospitable. The taverna food is amazing, grilled meats, salads & traditional homemade dishes. Definitely worth a visit. If you want to visit beaches or get around you will need to hire a car or use taxis (it cost us €25 each way to Argostoli but worth it to see the beautiful harbour area, turtles and little side street of shops. We'd love to come back to Vyzantio again.

Such a wonderful hotel/restaurant, so friendly and welcoming. Whether you fancy a coffee, ice cream, cocktail or the best home cooked food, this is the place to go! I had the best Cordon Bleu ever and my friends had equally gorgeous food, followed by the creamiest ice cream and complimentary limoncello! We will definitely be back, highly recommended!
