Stayed here a few weeks back on an away day, and I'll definitely be booking here again next time I come up to Liverpool, the rooms were clean, beds were great, the service was excellent and all of the staff were kind and lovely people. Imogen, in particular made us feel very welcome and helped us out straight away with all of our questions. For the price we paid, it was perfect!

2nd time at this hotel. Mixed experience the 1st time and gave it benefit of doubt, but I wouldn’t stay here again. Everything is tired and dated. My room stank of bleach on entry which I’m guessing was used in the bathroom prior to my check in. Room was ‘clean’ for the most part, but the bathroom wasn’t great. There was some mould and hairs in the shower, but the biggest concern was the red E. coli clearly visible in the shower head. Aside from cleanliness, everything is just so tired and in need of redecoration. Chipped cups, peeling up stands, dark stains on the carpet (looked like blood), cobwebs on ceiling, ripped bedding, broken lights and filthy curtains. Now come the real issues. The hotel is soooo noisy. I thought the last time I stayed it was inconsiderate guests, but actually I think the design doesn’t help. The walls here must be paper-thin, I could hear next door talking, clearing their throat and then them putting things into the plugs. You can hear people very clearly from your room when they are walking up and down the corridor, and the doors slam and ripple through the floor. I was also unlucky in that there were a bunch of girls staying in my floor, who thought it acceptable to run up and down to each others rooms into the early hours, letting the door slam each time, whilst giggling shrieking and chatting. The street noise from outside can also quite considerable at times. Overall, a poor nights stay (for the 2nd time) and wouldn’t be quick to return.
