Our second visit to this lovely hotel and we were not disappointed. It’s a special place to stay whether you want to walk, cycle or just drive around the glorious countryside surrounding it. Comfortable rooms, very attentive and friendly staff, great food and beautiful gardens. What more could you want?

Enjoyed a superb lunch while visiting friends. The lunch menu was extensive with courses that would please any diner. Portions were very ample, food was hot and service was friendly and attentive. One of our mains came a little dry and overcooked but the staff replaced it without a quibble and the replacement was perfect. Thank you all the team at the Castle Highly recommend gem, will certainly find here when next in the area.

Highly recommended by friends the Hotel did not disappoint .charming and helpful staff, delicious food and drink and comfortable room made this a very pleasant overnight stay on our Journey South from Liverpool. Surrounded by beautiful countryside we can see why it is such a wonderful spot for walkers. Thanks to all

Lovely hotel in a beautiful part of the UK. Food is really good both breakfast and dinner. Our room was fabulous with a great view and super comfy bed. The garden and outside areas are gorgeous and have fantastic views (weather permitting). The beer selection is great and it’s really kept well. However, despite all these positives it’s is the staff who made it such an enjoyable stay.

I’ve been coming to the Hotel for several years and it has always been a great experience. The owners and staff really have got everything right; very comfortablr rooms, extremely helpful staff and high-quality food. Despite the awards the hotel is excellent value given the quality.

What a fabulous hotel. Picture perfect views. Excellent staff, facilities are wonderful. Breakfast options for vegans and vegetarians along with a fantastic selection of hot and cold food and beverages. Staff could not do enough to help Highly recommend 5*
