I personally wouldnt say Gran Garbi Hotel & Splash Park is a 4*. Gran Garbi Hotel & splash park is NOT the hotel with the splash park, you just have 'access' to the splash park which is in Gran Garbi Mar Hotel sister hotel outside up the short hill. We came as a family in August, all the staff are lovely, the location is perfect as in near to shops, restaurants and the beach, however i wouldnt stay at this hotel again. I have read some of the more recent reviews and can agree with some of what is said, the hot food is very average, We stayed all inclusive, I think it would have been better to have chosen breakfast only or half board and eaten out. FOOD We aren't fussy eaters at all but it felt the food was done as cheaply as possible. It wasn't worth going all inclusive for us. There was chicken or pork skewers one day which was nice, pizza. There were a lot of bones in the chicken and lamb dishes, salads are great if your a salad fan which i am but the others not so much. Deserts could be better, there was one very nice cake with red on top. The snacks available by the pool area are prepacked microwave burgers, hotdogs and bread to make your own panini with ham and cheese. Ready salted crisps and olives. Imagine a no frills rustler burger and hotdogs. ROOM Basic and comfortable. Clean and tidy. Beds comfortable, hair dryer, nice towels, cleaned every day. Fridge and TV. Couldn't find any English channels if you do like to watch tv. This however didn't bother us. Maids are lovely. ENTERTAINMENT Starts at 2130, only went to one show so unsure what time it finishes. It was a good show but we left early as tired. There was a singer one night we were there and that was good. POOLS We didn't use the pools at Gran Garbi Hotel as no slides but used the pool in the sister hotel up the short hill that has the splash park this is called Gran Garbi Mar. Bare in mind that your all inclusive band does NOT allow you snacks and drinks in the splash park, you only get this if your staying in the Gran Garbi Mar Hotel. You have to pay for food and drinks. They do have €1 lockers should you need to use them. Not many sun beds available as these are used by Gran Garbi Hotel & Gran Garbi Mar Hotel. No balls allowed, we brought a small inflatable one for the pool but not allowed. Life guards at splash park, plenty of them and they alternate often. There was an entertainment guy for about 30 mins/1 hour doing dance in the pool. The slides are great fun, didn't use the smaller child's area but it did look good. BEACH The beach is lovely, not far to walk, lots of shops and restaurants. Water sports at the beach, didn't try but they were busy and looked great.
