The food was amazing (healthy and varied) and the drives out of this world. We stayed 4 nights and 5 days at Kilima camp and only regretted not being able to stay longer. We saw millions of animals, all the big 5, ugly 5 and cheetahs! Our guide was really wonderful and dedicated. At night the safari tents where very comfortable and offered us the great feeling of being immersed in the bush. From camp you which is high on a hill you have an amazing view of the entire Mara Triangle, and can easily watch elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and elands down in the plain with a pair of binoculars. We thoroughly enjoyed our bush walk with a Masai guide, our romantic bush dinner and our Hot air balloon experience. Congratulations and thank you to all the Kilima staff for our unforgettable experience!

We started our honeymoon with a 3 night stay at the Kilima Camp, which is itself is a relatively little-known tented camp sitting on the hilltop overlooking the Mara Triangle, a stones throw from the famous Governors camp or some of the camps run by the &Beyond brand. Our experience was unforgettable. Highlights were the personal friendly team running the camp, the stunning views over the Masai Mara in the mornings and evenings, the nightly camp fire drinks and snacks before dinner, the excellent food prepared by the very capable chefs always from locally sourced Kenyan produce. The tents are luxurious and very well-equipped and the outdoor showers were really fun to use, adding to the overall theme of the camp of being eco-conscious and harmonious with the surrounding Mara reserve - the camp borders are open and continuous with the Mara so it’s common to find zebra, giraffe, Topi and the like roaming the grounds. Access to the park is via the Ololoola gate and the nearest air ***** is the Kichwa Tembo. Recommend booking directly with the camp and travelling there by air.

One of our best experiences ever. Muhammad and his staff do anything and everything to make it a most memorable experience. Great accommodations, 5 star service and dining, exceeding all expectations. With our tremendous guide James, we saw the Big 5 in our game drives within 24 hours. Can’t recommend enough!

Absolutely incredible experience! The beauty of the main lodge and the luxury individual lodging is only surpassed by the excellence of the Manager and entire staff. These seasoned professionals see to your every care from ensuring your lodging is clean and fresh daily, to the most delicious and beautifully presented meals, and (of course) ensuring that you see every animal possible out on the Reserve during your stay. Their highly experienced tour guides/drivers await your arrival at the Kichwa Tembo Air***** on the Reserve in the overland vehicle used for your safari. These professionals are intimately familiar with the Maasai Mara National Reserve and ensure you will enjoy the various animals and photographic moments while searching for the Big Five during your entire safari. The tour guides/drivers serve your daytime meals (prepared by Kilima's in-house chefs) on linen-covered tables while out on the game drives, and your breakfasts and dinners of simply delicious and fresh foods (prepared in-house by the chef) are elegantly served by the gracious wait-staff in the main lodge. Prior to dinner and at sunset, there is a wonderful time where guests can sit around the fire-pit between the main lodge and the overlook to take in the changing sky over cocktails and beverages. The individual lodges are beautiful. The colors and decor are lovely, the beds and linens are soft and luxurious, the bathroom area is spacious (including indoor/outdoor showers) and beautifully lit, and your front deck provides you a lovely view overlooking the Reserve below and for watching the hot-air balloons float across the Mara at sunrise. There is a security staff that accompanies you with lighting down the well-appointed paths to-from your individual lodging during non-daylight hours. There is a stable of beautiful horses if you enjoy horse-back riding, and you are close to a Maasai Village in the event you wish to visit and better understand their lifestyle and traditions. The main lodge is a gathering place for all guests and where your delicious meals are served at tables to accompany the size of your personal group. There is a large, open dining area, as well as a luxurious sofa area near the bar and fireplace. Every aspect of the lodge has been well-appointed in colorful decor and lighting, and the side facing the overlook is open so that the magnificent expanse of the Reserve is always in view. Each time we leave, we feel refreshed, full of fabulous memories, and (perhaps most importantly) as though we have been personally and well-cared for by the staff of Kilima Camp. We are anxiously looking forward to our next visit with these wonderful folks! Go...you won't be disappointed.

Kilima Camp is absolutely awesome. I have stayed there several times. I keep going back because of the staff and facilities. The rooms and the views of the Masai Mara are beyond beautiful. The food is gourmet quality and is prepared using ingredients from their own massive garden. From water purification to chickens and parsley the camp is 100% self sustaining. The staff is happy and friendly and attended to all our needs, always with a big smile. I cannot say enough about the manager Mohamad who kept everything moving so efficiently. Our driver/guide James seemed to not only know where the animals were but where they were heading next. Enough cannot be said about Veronique who went well beyond the call of duty to make my reservation schedule work.

Staying at the Kilima Camp while exploring the Mara was quite a wonderful experience! Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. The meals were delicious and fresh. The tents were incredibly clean and one would not even think that they were in a tent! It was neat to see the animals so up close and hear the animals at night. Tatu, our game drive guide, was so knowledgeable and patient. I felt so safe the entire time. I highly recommend Kilima Camp for anyone that wants an incredible "safari experience"

Have been on many safaris and this is the only camp we’ve returned to a second time. The staff treat you like family. The lodging is first class with beautiful tents looking out over the Mara. And the food…where do I even begin. They utilize their garden and it’s very apparent when you taste the freshness. The game drives are exceptional. Both trips to Kilima we saw the big 5. We’ve had both James and Tatu, both are incredible guides..!! And don’t miss a visit to the local village and school. The drive up to camp from the reserve is a bit bumpy, but the views are well worth it..!!

Exceptional views of the Mara and the Mara triangle! An eco-lodge with the best service! If you want a truly exceptional experience with the absolute nicest and most attentive staff, this is the place to be! The food was great, all vegetables were freshly picked from their garden! The tents were huge and so comfortable, our game drive guide Tatu was the best, always got us in great positions to observe the animals up close.

The camp is an amazingly intimate and natural place. The park is second to none. Being able to see the animals in their natural habitat unimpeded by fences was surreal. Bucket list fulfilled and not a drop of dissatisfaction here. Spirit of Kenya was a amazing company and would only use them again.
