Disappointing Sunday Roast despite good reviews and nice photos of the outside! First time in this "charming inn" and really looking forward to it. But I was served ridiculously thin, tough and overcooked meat (paid extra for lamb) with small portions of vegetables. So, I complained to the charming waitress, Zoe, and, God forbid! she came back with a plateful of thick, deliciously juicy lamb and more vegetables: a real Sunday Roast! Thank you Zoe! I was right to complain but wouldn't recommend this pub for Sunday lunch. What about their Thai food on the regular menu?

Booked a room for myself and my son staying from 6-8th of July for Billy Joel concert in Hyde Park. I booked it in October 2022 and without explanation with 3 weeks until the concert they have cancelled it. I am not happy as I will struggle to find somewhere to stay at a reasonable price now. I am feeling very let down by them.

We ate and drank at this pub. The food was amazing, really tasty across the 5 dishes we ordered. The only suggestion I would make is - stop advertising Prosecco ladies night on a Thursday at £16.95 a bottle on your website, when you charge £5 more….£21.95. When I questioned it, I was told 3 times that the manager would look into it and get back to me, they never did. If your prices have gone up, just say and put it on your website! We all have to factor the increase in bills, customers included. Otherwise….the food is second to none!

The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. The room was a bit jaded, bathroom door wouldn't shut as it didn't fit. The bar area was great and had a good choice of drinks. The cooked breakfast was good quality but the service was extremely slow. The pub has a function room which you need to walk through to get to the accommodation. One night there was a function on and we found ourselves returning from a day out and having to walk through a birthday party function, and move some chairs just to get to the door leading to the pub's bedrooms. Stayed Friday and Saturday night. Could forgive a lot but the function room makes staying a lottery. We are unlikely to return and wouldn't recommend staying on a weekend for that reason.

I came in here for lunch with a colleague. I didn't realize they did a set Thai lunch for £7.50 which includes a starter and a main course. The choice isn't huge but was sufficient. I had chicken satay and a green curry. The portion was smaller than the full priced dishes but the quality was excellent and it was perfect for a light snack..The pub was comfortable and we sat in front of a real log fire.

Spent 3 nights here and recommend to all. Rooms are clean and nice shower, with plenty of options for breakfast in the morning. Good value for London as is 4/5 minute walk from Northfields tube station! Favourite part of our stay was the Thai food available from the bar! Absolutely gorgeous, we had it 2 nights out of 3!

Having booked a room in advance via *********** I was a little perturbed on arrival to be greeted by a member of staff who insisted I produce a form of photo id. Had it not been for the intervention of the ( I assume) manager, I would have been denied my room . She was clearly not going to let us have our room without the photo id of which I had none. Our room itself was clean and served our purpose which was a night prior to our final move. The only thing I would suggest is a glass or beaker in the bathroom for washing out the toothpaste after cleaning ones teeth. Otherwise the room was clean and the bathroom larger than most. The hotel boasts a continental and/or cooked breakfast. We came down the following morning to find a staff member on her mobile. No " good morning ", I had to initiate the greeting. We sat ourselves down and waited. We saw the continental buffet laid out so after about five minutes we decided to help ourselves. At this point a staff member called out from behind the bar if we required tea or coffee. That was it. The staff , of which there were about three or four, disappeared. From time to time we got a cursory glance from the kitchen entrance. At no time were we offered a cooked breakfast or if we required anything. No more tea or coffee was offered. It felt as if we were a complete nuisance being there. At no time did we feel welcome . On a positive note, the Thai restaurant within the Foresters is second to none and would strongly recommend eating here. I would suggest that the management either replace the staff with those that are suited to hospitality or have them sent on training courses as they were all very unwelcoming and surly. Would we stay here again? No

We stayed at the Forester for one night. The rooms were comfy and functional. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is great for public transport links. The rooms, however, could really do with some maintenance and TLC. The paintwork, furniture and plumbing is getting quite tired and dated. Although the accommodation is listed as having a car park, in reality this is only big enough for 1-2 cars, so most people have to park on the street.

I went there on Sunday night to watch the Anthony Joshua boxing match and was asked to leave because I was quite vocal in my support for him. The manager, Dean, actually chucked me out half way through the fight. Difficult to believe, but I suppose it really is The Worst Pub in Ealing, although the Thai food served there is excellent. I wonder why the manager behaved in such a strange manner but these thought are probably best left unexpressed.
