Mercure London Paddington Hotel Photos

Perfect for a short trip to London. Good customer service, friendly, comfy bed (my boyfriend looked at the pillow brand to buy his own 😂), and excellent location!

Good, sure will come back once visit London again. Convenient.

The location is good but the room is not spacious. when comparing to hotels nearby , I feel a bit of regret to stay for seven days. Suggest sole traveller but not family to stay.

while checking in I was informed that my reservation was overbooked. I was taken to another nearby hotel. but my room not yet ready. It will be ready at 9pm!!!!! So disappointed!! After long hours flight I need a shower and rest

They offered to transfer us to the nearby Mercure Hyde Park which we agreed to and I highly recommend to accept such a transfer of they make the same offer to you. The Mercure Hyde Park looks newer and more modern, although the room size appears to be equally small (which is to be expected anyway). Location wise, Mercure Hyde Park is close to Paddington station, and there is a linked path with the IHG Hotel Indigo so you can use their main entrance to access Mercure Hyde Park.

Location is good only if you need to take the train at Paddington station eg to Heathrow. But there’s a construction working on just right next to the hotel and the pedestrian head to the hotel was block which makes it really complicated (and noisy). I booked 2 standard double room on Trip.com. But the rooms we got are really small, it looked exactly like the small double room and one of the rooms doesn’t even have fridge and wardrobe, and the safe deposit box is placed on the floor Checked with trip.com to confirm the room type that I booked and was assigned but was told that the room I got is “double room” so they wouldn’t do anything (but there’re two type of double room - standard double and small double room), anyway standard double was what I paid for, the photo of the room and the photo from hotel website here for all of you to comment whether it’s a small double or standard double. Despite the room access cards disable for at least 5 times during my 3 days stay, the front desk staff are friendly, especially Nari, she’s a star and very helpful and nice! However I wouldn’t rate this as a 4 star hotel…

The hotel upgraded from Mecure Paddington to Mecure Hype Park instead because the rooms were full. It was good. It was not far from the old place. The new room was just renovated. The only problem was that the air conditioner in the room was broken. The technician came to fix it for 2-3 hours but couldn't fix it. The hotel provided a small fan. It was good that we only stayed one night. The breakfast was better than Paddington. We could choose the food. If the air conditioner is not broken, I recommend this place.

I have never given such a low rating to a product on Ctrip. Ctrip should remove this hotel from its supplier list, unless the hotel clearly states in the product description that the room is very small and shabby. There is a subway line underground, which is very noisy. There will be a subway passing through every two or three minutes. The room layout is super bad. Although I booked an executive room, it is not 26 square meters at all, because there is a narrow corridor less than one meter wide when you enter the door. A slightly fat person has to turn sideways to pass through. The carpet is worn out, and the bathroom is even smaller. The bathroom door cannot be opened 90 degrees, but only 45 degrees. Unless you just want it to be close to Paddington Railway Station, there is nothing good about it. The hotel lobby is pitifully small, only 8/9 square meters. It is really heartbreaking. I also booked six nights. It was the most unpleasant place in my trip to the UK. Although Ctrip has tried its best to compensate, it is really unpleasant to live there every day.

The hotel has a view of Paddington Station from the window of the room. It was difficult to open the curtains because it was on a low floor. There was a restaurant serving traditional British breakfast and a stylish bakery near the hotel, so I was very satisfied with my stay.
