It was a simple hotel, but it was a place where I wanted to understand everything about the breakfast that felt like I was receiving a warm meal from a British family.
As it was old, the facilities were very old and small, but the people were friendly and warm, making you feel like family.

Booked for 1 night for London trip with show and Sky Garden. Convenient position. Very close to British Museum. Good breakfast. No lift. Our room was very tired, in need renovation.

Great location 5 mins from tube, easy checkin, luggage storage, comfortable beds, lovely breakfast and great staff.
On the downside main stairwell needs wall repairs finishing and redecorating, and carpet is slightly threadbare in places.
Generally room furniture tired, some damp patches, bathroom shower needs updating.

The room turned out to be an apartment in a historical building!! It was huge and super clean!!!! Staff was so nice and friendly they were helpful carrying my luggage to my room since there is no elevator. I would definitely stay here again next year.

Very disappointed with our room, it bears no resemblance to the pictures on your website.
The curtains were worn and tatty, and mould was all round the frame.
Would not choose to stay here again.
If I had booked direct I would have demanded a refund.

The pictures used to advertise this property and not anything like the rooms we stayed in. Wall paper hanging off, toilet door that didn’t slide very well. Very dated!
I know you pay a premium to stay in London, but I would have expected a lot better for my money.

Very welcoming and excellent food and service. Staff were brilliant, very polite and friendly. Room was clean and tidy, shower had accessable shelving. Would recommend this hotel. Great value for money
