I have booked the golden square many times before due to it being very central.. but this time I was in shock!! Very disappointed on the device and the bloody bed bugs!!! The bed is full of them!! Iv messaged them to change the room for me or find a solution since I couldn’t afford to book somewhere else in such short notice but the only thing they did was just to get a cleaner to change the bed sheets!there’s blood stains on the mattress, I have bites all over my face and body it’s disgusting I couldn’t work properly since I didn’t get any sleep!!! Iv had to bin my stuff so I don’t take the bugs home with me!!! Never again!! I have attached photos please don’t risk it..

STAY AWAY!!! The place is terrible - it is filled with BEDBUGS. We thought we had checked the whole place before sleeping, but the room had been cleaned with clorine before our checkin. They even had to leave the window open because of the smell. There was water coming down from the bathroom ceiling - and no way of contacting London Collection. We had to flee our apartment in the morning and haven't heard from them yet. It has been 11 days now, and they are ghosting us. Do not use London Collection by any means - they will take your money and you'll never hear from them again.

Don’t stay or check your bed because they have an infestation of bed bugs. Great location to the underground and Downtown SoHo. The location was simple to access and easy to check in, but I still wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I loved our stay at the Golden square. Close to everything and a good value for the money. The kitchen is very convenient to have as there is a whole foods just around the corner. There is so much to do within walking distance and a plathora of restaurants near by.

We stayed here for four nights during our recent trip to London. We were on the third floor which was 61 stairs and countless landings. Why do I know? Because the lift (elevator), which was teeny tiny to begin with, kept being out of service. The room was tiny (smaller than a hotel room), no seating, no place to put suitcases, and a very drippy faucet. The bathroom was teeny tiny and we were only provided two towels. I asked if I could do laundry while there and was assured I could. Unfortunately, there is only one washing machine for the entire building so it was all but impossible to do laundry while we were there. The location is GREAT, everything else is YUCK.

I had read some really bad reviews about the apartments. Yes there were on the ground floor (right by the entrance) but that didn't effect us in any way whatsoever. The builders were very polite and friendly. The check in instructions were a little bit confusing. The first thing we noticed was that the lift wasn't working and we were on the third floor (lots of stairs!). I have a heart condition so i expressed this was going to be a problem so i emailed them. They emailed later into the evening and said they would move me to first floor as long as we hadn't touched the room or the bed. So it was too late for us to move rooms. So those are the negative bits out the way!!! When you open that apartment door everything vanishes away. You shut the door and it feels like a whole new place. I was so very impressed. very clean. Powerful shower with hot water. No problems at all with the apartment. It was lovely and it was actually quieter than most of the places we have stayed. It felt like a little piece of heaven to have our own fridge in the room. Would i stay there again? ABSOLOUTELY. we are already planning our next trip. Keep the BRILLIANT work guys.

so we booked through *********** at “Golden Square” apartments. We had to pay in full online before a total of nearly $800 AUD. They then contacted us via email that we had to pay a security deposit also which was fine but we had to do it over the phone as they are a self check in apartment. So we called and called and emailed and called… all afternoon for hours and nothing no response no answer! They closed at 7pm and it got closer and closer so we were getting more and more stressed but they would not respond. At about 6.59pm they answered the phone and there was no apology or anything for not answering for hours but we were just relieved we could pay and sort it. We gave them our international travel credit card we were using everywhere … and they refused to take it? It was a MasterCard but they just said they couldn’t and asked for a UK credit card. we said we didn’t have one … as we aren’t from the UK that’s why we needed the accomodation? But they refused and so we offered my international Visa card which I used everywhere fine and they refused even though this is the card I paid them with via ***********? We even desperately offered bank transfer or anything but they only wanted a UK credit card. they left us stranded in the middle of london at 8pm (this is when the queen had just passed btw so it was insane) and took $800 but would not let us pay the security deposit so we could stay. They told us on the phone we could get a refund but only through ***********. So for the night we just had to get our bags which we paid about $80 AUD to keep somewhere by that hotel which was a waste in the end we got them and spent hours searching for another hotel. Finally at about 11pm we got a hotel for about $450 AUD for just the night and it was terrible but we were just exhausted and desperate. We then the next day contacted *********** and 6 weeks later I have contacted multiple times and each time the hotel denies approval to *********** for a refund saying we were a no show?! *********** then told us to contact the hotel so I did but it took days of trying for them to answer the phone. When they finally did they refused to talk to me They left us stranded in the middle of london, took my money and are refusing to give it back

I booked the Golden Square through *********** for 5 nights as the location was great and the photos looked good too. I arrived to a filthy room and a bed that had blood stains on the sheets and on the pillows. I checked in elsewhere and attempted to get a refund. I was told that i would not receive a refund because I did not give them a chance to remedy the issue, regardless I checked in elsewhere. I never cancelled the booking because I knew that I would forgo a refund if I did, to my surprise Golden Square said I was a 'no show' and cancelled by booking 1 day into my 5 day booking. I emailed David Fisher from Golden Square 3 times asking if I could still access what I paid for and I never heard back. Essentially I could not access the accomodation I paid for because they lied and said I was a 'no show' to avoid refunding my booking, I have sent photo and video evidence to *********** to prove I did in fact check in and to show the unacceptable state of the accomodation. *********** were as helpful as they could be but the refund was still the decision of Golden Square. Not only could I not get a refund when there was blood in the bed, they also lied to avoid paying a refund, I feel bullied and taken advantage of and I strongly recommend you don't book here.
