Room was basic for price and not well presented, the walls were dirty and had food stained on and the bath had filler to cover the holes which Wes rough on the feet, the bed had wooden blocks u see the legs and pillows had stained marks overall would not pay to stay here again.

Nice place to stay in the city centre. The double bed is a little bit short, but comfy. I would come back!

The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a good standard throughout. The room was well-kept, nicely furnished, and had everything needed for a short stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall service was smooth and professional. The location is excellent – central but peaceful, with easy access to attractions, shops, and transport links. A great choice for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the heart of London. I would definitely stay here again.

The hygiene of the hotel was really bad. My friend found a squirming bug under the pillow on the bed. The advantage is that the room is large, the bathroom is also large, and the attitude of the staff is also good. Although the geographical location is good, if you care about hygiene, it may not be a good choice.

Overall was good, staff were friendly.
However, upon checking-in my sibling accidentally cut her legs due to poor condition chair provided. We immediately called for room service. They then provided 2 bandages and told us not to further use the chair. That was the only action taken. They could have compensated or at least replace a new chair for us, as that was the ONE AND ONLY chair in the room.

This was a lovely hotel, the nearest tube is Russel square which was a short walk from the hotel door roughly 5/10mins right on the Piccadilly line. Really clean and very helpful staff. The rooms were very warm but a fan was provided and help with the thermostat reduced the heat. Great location for central London and the family room was fab. Would recommend.

We were originally booked into the Beauchamp but a few days prior were moved to their sister hotel next door called the Portland.
We were very disappointed to see the difference in accommodation compared to the photos of the Beauchamp we had booked - the Portland is extremely dated and not modern looking like the other.
After a long day in London and late evening being spent at BST Hyde Park, this was disappointing to arrive to. Not only this - the hotel corridors are so narrow it is like a marble run trying to navigate your way round,
When we arrived to our room, it was extremely hot to the point of sweating - we had to instantly open all windows and luckily found two big fans in the cupboard which we had to leave on all night.
Also, although a quad was booked and in the photos this shows two double beds - we arrived to one double bed and a pull out sofa bed with a paper thin mattress - my poor daughter barely slept do to being uncomfortable and it feeling like she was being poked in the back.
This being said - the reception staff were always lovely, polite and very attentive.
We were offered free breakfast which we went to the Beauchamp to have and on walking in we could definitely see it was more modern - and the cooked breakfast was actually lovely, staff were very nice and service was quick. One request would be to have the offer of a latte/cappuccino etc. rather than just your standard tea and filter coffee.
So to sum it up - don't book the Portland over the two :)

Good location for us to arrive at Kings Crossing, see British Museum and ABBA. Staff was very friendly and room was surprisingly large for a UK/ European hotel. Would stay here again

This hotel is the only hotel where the staff asked the guest to fill out passport information, among the 4 plus hotels we stayed at during our 10-day long trip to London/Paris. There is something to be desired about improving that part of the process to minimize the burden on hotel guests.
Our hotel room is also in a very outdated state, with very dirty carpet (visible spots all over the entire room). It is also in the lowest level of the hotel (level 0), equivalent to a basement walkout. To make things worse, while the hotel room is (unnecessarily) huge, it doesn't have a fridge. Last but not least, the entrance to bathroom also has a slightly sloped floor right near the door, making it a very dangerous area with wet floor.
Overall, I would not recommend.

Very decent hotel, very helpful staff.
Close to two subways and 5 minutes from the British Museum.
Relatively quiet area, even though there was construction going on near the hotel during our stay.
To address the noise, we were offered free breakfast. This makes all the difference between a hotel that wants to attract customers and a hotel that wants to make money.
Thank you to all the staff! It was an unforgettable stay in London.
