Excellent check in although early they did keep there bags Recently renovated appealing decor . Sound friendly staff . Rooms spacious plenty of space . Breakfast was continental plenty of choice . The shower in the morning was cold that was only negative

This hotel is pretty much brand-new - it's housed in a former landmark bank building in the city centre - and it's very impressive: very good rooms, excellent sound-proofing, great staff. A very good breakfast too, and the city just on the doorstep. Top quality.

The lovely tom came over to talk us through the cocktails we ordered and recommended a cool cucumber and i have never tasted a nicer more refreshing cocktail not to mention the lovely staff members and the lovely bay view window perfect for people watching!

Myself and my husband stayed last Saturday night. We parked at the quayside multistory carpark and got a discounted rate of £12 for the night due to staying at the hotel. We got a friendly greeting by staff at reception and information about parking. We stayed in room 208 which was so spacious and beautifully decorated with a very comfy bed. My only negative review would be that although the bathroom was wheelchair accessible which we didn't need there was no shelving to put toiletries or toothbrush etc (a floating shelf would be an idea) the sink was tiny and whilst showering the water ended up all over the floor even towards the door. We spent our night in the bar which had great entertainment by a very talented musican Emmett. The bar staff were very attentive and friendly the espresso martini's and Guinness were delicious and very well presented. Our continental breakfast in the beautifully decorated Olive room and had a great variety to choose from. Staff were very friendly and informative. A great night's stay and we look forward to returning.

I hosted my 40th birthday party here on 31st of January 2026 and I am still beaming from the experience. From the initial planning stages to the moment the last guest left, everything was handled with such professionalism and care. The venue looked stunning. They took my vision and executed it flawlessly, creating the perfect vibe for a milestone celebration. Our guests haven't stopped raving about the catering. Everything was fresh, delicious, and timed perfectly. Planning a big event can be stressful, but Pearse and his team made it feel effortless. They were responsive, flexible, and attentive to every detail. The real stars of the show were the incredible staff on the night. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every guest was looked after and that the evening flowed seamlessly. Their hard work and "nothing is too much trouble" attitude truly made the night perfect. ​If you’re looking for a venue that combines a beautiful setting with top-tier service, look no further. Thank you for making my 40th a night I will never forget!

Fantastic Hotel fab facilities & staff were so good & friendly an overall great Hotel, entertaiment from a Lady called Meena on the Saturday night just made it even more entertaining will defenitley be back beautiful Hotel

Lobby, reception, breakfast room all very well decorated, however I was very disappointed with our room. We stayed in room 208 which is obviously a disabled access room. The decor is lovely but thats it. It almost looks like they decorated it then stopped. Nothing in it that made it 'special' or unique. No information in the room about the hotel or area. No phone to contact reception if needed. But the worst bit was the bathroom. I have stayed in many disabled rooms with my mother so i know how beautiful as well as accessible wet rooms can be. This was the most basic bathroom I have ever seen...anywhere. even a premier inn has shelf space to put a toothbrush! The sink was so small I could barely fit my hands in to wash them! No shelving/storage space at all. Not even a toilet roll holder! Ive genuinely never seen such a poorly laid out or fitted bathroom. The bedroom/bathroom did not match up to the effort that has been put in to the rest of the building. Very disappointed.
