Windham Hill Inn

The rustic charm of a beautifully renovated New England barn, with spacious rooms that provide quiet solitude and comfortable furnishings, wall to wall! The king size bed, the oversized bathroom with a giant jetted tub beneath a skylight…SO INCREDIBLY PEACEFUL!! And outdoors there are numerous trails and Adirondack chairs placed at scenic spots to take in the beauty of the land in front of you and to enjoy the star filled wide-open sky above at night, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed! We can not wait to return to this New England paradise! ❤️

We stayed in the 8-room converted barn. The room very large and a pleasant surprise featuring a great view, soaking tub in the living area, gas fireplace, and a very comfortable king bed. I would give Windham Hill Inn five stars, but I deducted a star because of a clogged bathroom sink, a difficult to control HVAC system, and live and dead bugs in the room. Although somewhat dated, the room was spectacular for the price.

The Inn is very run down. I could see that back in the day it was very nice, but it hasn’t been kept up. There was a fire in one building and the rooms are in the barn. It was very creepy and dark. We immediately checked out and never received a refund. They offered a credit which would absolutely never use. It’s too bad. It has potential.

Stayed last night. Place was cozy quiet and clean. Manager was pleasant and and saw to all needs.

Travelers should note that many posted photos are not recent since the restaurant is not available after there was a fire in the building a few years ago. Our comfortable room was located on the second floor of a rustic barn. An adequate continental breakfast was served in the lower level of the barn. The very small keyless entry was difficult to use to open the door which took several tries. The room was attractive with comfortable wing chairs which was located upstairs in a rustic barn. The room was clean, but the carpets could use vacuuming. We enjoyed chatting with other guests, but did not have even a Good Morning from the staff. There are few options for dinner in the area. We did find an outdoor pizza oven on Main St. operated by a non-profit the night we were there.
