Jolly Roger Hotel

Nice motel, it’s a Great value for monnaie.

Free parking, very clean room and bathroom except for sheets that were not changed before we came in and didn't realize how bad it was until next day.(Had a bad odor) they were changed after requested and it was much better. Staff was WONDERFUL. When we got there, they lost our reservation but gave us a key to room on 2nd floor, after bringing all our luggage upstairs (no elevator on that side of motel), we walked into a room with a family in there.So they gave us another room on 3rd floor,(I think it was their last room because it was VERY loud (in corner room#340 ), exit door slamming ALL night, after 2 am, it was New Years Eve) They did offer to change room next night but we were all unpacked and too tired to move, so we just ****** it up and put pillows on our head. Limited food and entertainment within walking distance, too far to walk to coast.Pool needed leaves to be taken out. Very small but clean and heated. Only 3 lounge chairs and 2 men were always in them sleeping. One chair had very dirty (and smelly) blanket and towel on it when the man wasn't there. The other man told us to keep it down cuz he was sleeping. Overall, we were not disappointed with staying there as it was very affordable so you get what you pay for. I don't mean for this to be a bad review but I wanted to be honest with our experience. .Positives, Staff, clean, comfortable beds, parking, small pool, and price. :0)

Perfectly fine - clean, reasonably comfortable (lighting in room was poor, no bedside light, no radio) for the price, and a warm welcome from reception. Conveniently located near good Italian restaurant and Bru’s Wiffel for breakfast. Would have welcomed microwave.

When I need a quick place to say at a great price, I always look to Jolly Roger first. Don't expect anything spectacular--you'll get a very clean room, towels and bedsheets and a comfortable mattress. Also, there is a fridge and a little coffee machine with complimentary coffee, sugar and cream. Great place if you're in the area.

The Jolly Roger is an excellent hotel that provides most of the essentials you need. I only wish they had 1. Microwaves. 2. The doors that lead to the floors from the stairwell would close automatically. I've come several times now, and the door is left open, yet guests should only be able to access the floors with a key pass. I think guests (or housestaff, I don't know) are leaving it open. This is a security risk. Overall, this is one of my go to hotels when I need a clean place with the basics.

For a cheap hotel it was clean, the staff was helpful, lots of restaurants next to it. Perfect while traveling without the family and not getting my wallet crushed. I would stay there again. The hotel is old and no frills, but I just needed a clean inexpensive place to sleep.

Jolly Roger never dissapoints. If you want clean, basic rooms, this the place. The staff is professional but not stuffy in any way. The rooms are not "modern" looking, but they arre VERY clean and the BED is quite comfy. Shower gets hot FAST. Excellent stay, always!

The Jolly Roger is a nice place. What does 'nice' mean? 1. Clean 2. Amenities--coffee machine, little refrigerator 2. Spacious room for two queen beds--lots of space! Inmprovements could be: 1. Have separate end tables for each bed. 2. Have better placed outlets for charging accessories. 3. Have separate lighting for each person at the bed. Highlights: 1. VERY spacious two-queen bed room. 2. The beds were well decorated and COMFORTABLE. OVERALL: Slept very well, the staff was pleasant and efficient. I've never had a bad stay here!
