Elan Hotel

The room itself is decent. However The deluxe beds are smaller than a full sized bed. So three of us staying in the room. Two of barely fit on the bed. I enjoyed the firmness of the bed. My dad and boyfriend did not. Also checking in and checking out was a process. They are short staffed. So wait time was awhile. I was charged $20 more for amenities but there was nothing there to use. Besides a coffee machine that didn’t have decaf coffee in it. Just hot water.

Elan Hotel is in a great location in Los Angeles. There are restaurants and shopping areas in a walkable distance. This is definitely more of a no-frills hotel, with just a free happy hour offered in lieu of a breakfast or other options, but when you're only in the hotel for sleep, it's a great option! Our only complaints were that the cable for the tv was inconsistent (and perhaps out hotel wide our first night?) and our key cards were deactivated the day before we checked out and had to be reactivated at the front desk. For the most part, the staff at the front desk was helpful, including one young lady who was nice enough to recommend a local coffee shop just two blocks away for the pick me up my friend and I needed!

The room was quiet but the hotel is on a busy street. The staff was very nice and the nightly complimentary wine was delightful. The safe underground parking on the premises was great.

Small hotel on Beverly Ave that is close to everywhere. This hidden gem was reasonably priced and nice small hotel for the area and convenience. I would stay here again

Negative: Requested to put out garbage and towels in the hall on check out. Check in and out on-line. Positive: Close to Sabon Theater and staff was helpful. Room very nice and quiet.

Charged extra day in fees and taxes. Bathroom faucet completely broke out. Severely outdated and a decently bad smell throughout hotel. One nice thing is you couldn’t really hear the road

The bathroom sink faucet leaks on the hot water handle, leaving a small puddle on the counter all the time. Bathtub epoxy coating was flaking and peeling off. You couldn’t read the labels on the bottles in the shower. The TV was difficult to change channels, you couldn’t change them going through the guide, had to be done by clicking through each channel, and why are the channels labeled 42-1, 42-2, 42-3 etc.. Looks like they used two shower curtains for the sliding glass door, as “black out curtains”and they wouldn’t close all the way at the top, the rings were broken. The sliding door didn’t feel secure and there were stairs right up to the door. It IS NOT VALET PARKING, we had to call the front to have them open the gate, the parking spots are two deep, so if I was in front of someone and they need out, I would have yo go down and move my car, and then again if they were coming back. I was having back surgery while there and so thankful I didn’t have yo stay another night on that bed. It was hard and a little lumpy. The 2 people we had at the front desk were nice, and it was relatively close to where I was having surgery. Someone was smoking in the hotel, smelled it the hallway going to our room, thank goodness it wasn’t in our room. The picture and hotel description are very misleading.

I love this place to stay with my husband. Very clean and quiet! Always use it.
