Riu Palace Baja California - Adults Only - All Inclusive

This was our second stay at the RIU palace Baja California and it was just as amazing as the first!! If I had to pick the one thing I didn’t like it would be our room location. We were right by the stage in the the theater area and it was quite loud at night but the rest of our stay was perfect! Great food, fabulous drinks and the staff will almost bend over backwards to get you what you need! 10/10 well be back!

This resort was wonderful- the facilities and staff were amazing and it was very well kept. The rooms were decent, showers and toilet rooms were a bit dirty (corners, baseboards, shower shelves and around the toilet) but housekeeping kept the general room clean and tidy. Food was very good too- the Japanese restaurant was our favourite. Not in the resorts control or fault of the resort, but the surroundings of the resort (on the beach) were FULL of people trying to sell you things. Souvenirs, braids, massages, and illicit *****. They were quite pushy and someone came up to us every 5 minutes. Overall a great stay, we would definitely go back.

My flights was cancelled due to weather conditions and never made it and you guys are not refunding very upset.

We enjoyed our time. Made the best of it. Check in service was poorly handled and had to get management involved that didn’t handle our issue well either stating it has to do with their corporate office policies and they are the only ones that can help us. They would not help us contact their office and no one answered any numbers we could find as we sat in the lobby.

After hearing different opinions about it - I think this hotel was great. I got the real feel of a vacation - staff were awesome. My only con would be that they need more night life activites for guest at this hotel. The shows were good, but once they ended that's it. The time between acts are too long. They need music to keep guest entertained. Other than that - all was great - food was great too. Thanks for a good time

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon. After reading reviews for months we settled on RIU Baja California as our destination in Cabo. We decided on an oceanfront suite and up purchased to the Elite club. Upon arrival check in was smooth and bags were taken to our room so we could begin exploring. The entire week, the service was AMAZING. All of the staff were friendly and aimed to keep you happy. The property was extremely clean as was our room. There were many restaurant options and nothing we had disappointed. The elite club restaurant which is only available to the elite club members was UNREAL. The views from this restaurant are also really good. Drinks were great. I could literally go on and on. There is transportation available to get to the marina for a small fee and the bell boys will get you transportation and direct them to where you’re going. The ONLY thing we wish would have been a little better was privacy on the beach area that is roped off for RIU guests. The beach vendors are extremely nice but the constant “no thank you” reply’s as they walk through all day makes it a little less relaxing. We stayed in the pools most days because of this. While I understand this is how they make their living it’s also at times slightly irritating. Finally, if you’re looking for a resort with peace and quiet THIS RESORT IS NOT FOR YOU. Riu is very much an active, happening resort. There are shows, music, parties, etc. We LOVED this but know it’s not for everybody!

We enjoyed our time at the resort. It was good for the price. The things we didn’t like- The room smelled musky like wet towels and the bed is not comfortable at all. The pillows are not comfortable, they are harder, cheaper pillows. And they don’t have any sugar-free drinks to mix with your cocktails, other than diet Pepsi. They said they had diet 7-Up, but it’s not diet, it has sugar. Many people won’t care about this, but I’ve learned if I don’t drink sugar, I don’t get a hangover. And they consider Smirnoff vodka, a high-end vodka, which is funny. And the pools are not heated, so the swim up bar pool is warmer, but that’s probably because all the bodies in it- and they don’t have music playing much. There is like a speaker in the middle of the pool area but I can’t understand why they would be able a big nice resort and not have speakers throughout to play music. The things that we liked- the food was really good, the taco stand had the best tacos I’ve ever ever had at a resort, just delicious! The breakfast buffet is really nice and big with lots of options. The pool areas are big and nice. If they were heated and had more music, it would be much better, but they are nice big areas for laying out andhanging out by the pool. We also liked that our wristband let us into all three resorts and you could just walk between them. The one in the middle, the cheaper Santa Fe had a really awesome pool party while we were there with foam they blew in the pool and a DJ

We loved the Baja California resort, but the Rio, Santa Fe next-door was extremely loud with thumping music some nights. If you can handle that, then, this resort is great… Very attentive staff, very clean, any time I called room service they were there within five minutes. Overall a great place if it weren’t for the next-door property.

Noisy, staff was bothered by us requesting extra towels and pillows. Food was below average. No name alcohol.
