Downtown Hostel

Environment Location: Located near Mekong river side, close to cafes, restaurants, temples for tak bat/alms giving, night market and other city attractions, convenient for morning stroll by the riverside and evening visit to night market

We really enjoyed this Hostel when we stayed for 3 nights. Staff are laid back and helpful. Free hot water, tea and coffee, cold water at all times of the day. The stay included free breakfast where you could pick from omlette & bread, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, banana pancakes & noodle soup. Free fruit (banana, dragon fruit and watermelon) was also provided. There was a pool table and books to read. The dorms were quiet, beds were comfortable and curtains for privacy (although some curtains were broken on some of the beds). There was aircon, a ceiling fan and also individual fans. We got our laundry done here which was the cleanest we’ve had since being away. Only downside is the cleanliness. The dining tables were not cleaned for breakfast time so they were sticky from beer / drinks being spilt the night before & the floors in the living areas gathered a lot of dirt which was not great when you had to remove your shoes before entering them. Other than this we had a good stay and would stay again.
