A very disappointing experience. This place is very isolated in not the most salubrious of areas. To get to Lucca you could walk, but it takes time along a busy road with no pavement, no so fun in the dark. When we arrived, there was no-one on reception (which is tiny like you might see in a garage) and we had to go looking for someone, anyone!!! Yes there is a lovely pool but aside from that there are no facilities in fact the “bar” (small shed) closes at 7 and the staff all go home. There are no restaurants in the near vicinity so if you want anything to eat it’s a long walk.or a taxi ride. Also miles away from the station. Do not go there if you don’t have a car. In the end we walked out!

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in early May 2025. This hotel had two castle like buildings for guests. This hotel was fairly new and the pool was large and beautiful. The free breakfast was very nice spread of various foods. The gated facility provided free parking. The walk to the Lucca city wall was about 15 minutes.

Just returned from 4 nights at this fabulous small hotel with lots of charm and character, we booked a superior double room on a bed and breakfast basis, room was very clean and had a useful mini fridge.. the pool area is beautiful, very peaceful and the perfect place to relax in the Tuscan sunshine after a mornings sight seeing. The staff are a credit to the hotel, so friendly and helpful, a pleasure to deal with. Breakfast is very pleasant in the breakfast room beside the pool available from 8-10am, a varied menu for lunch and a good stocked bar with reasonable prices. The hotel is a 20 minute walk to the walls of Lucca, perfect to stroll into Lucca and back on an evening, taxis are very hard to come by. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit this stunning area.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though:
- the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Bike hire is extra - 35 euro a day.
- the pool is lovely - comfortable and a lovely space to relax. However, it’s only open from 10am - 7pm which was a shame as it’s not possible to have a swim before breakfast and then head out for the day. Worth bearing in mind if you have children who might be raring to get in the pool first thing!
- no bar open in the evening and nowhere nearby to eat or drink, so be prepared to be out in Lucca in the evenings
Overall the hotel was lovely and we enjoyed our stay, but the pool restrictions and the location are worth bearing in mind.

This place is great fun. Georgia, the manager is a star, effortlessly organising everything with great charm. We had a difficult arrival late at night, thank you EasyJet for cancelling our earlier flight we suspect because it was only half full. We were put in room 7 on the second floor , not suitable for 70 year olds! Georgia moved us the next day to a ground floor room with a delightful sitting area outside. The swimming pool is lovely and breakfast is served in a garden room next door to it. We hired bikes from the hotel and rode round the city walls, highly recommend, great fun.

A wonderful place to stay staff are so friendly and helpful and the setting is beautiful. It was just what we wanted relaxing by the pool where drinks and food are available during the day then a pleasant 15 minute walk into Lucca for dinner and drinks. We didn’t have a bad meal and prices very reasonable for food and drink. Beautiful walk around the walls of Lucca, visited the Cathedral and Tower. A nice mix of relaxation with cultural centre and restaurants. Only negative is lack of taxis in Lucca so had to walk back late to villa, but Lucca is very safe and we had no issues.

Great location - walkable into the historic centre. Excellent buffet breakfast. Room was comfortable although quite small and without a chair, but one was provided when I asked. Staff were very helpful.

Beautiful and very clean hotel with a gorgeous big pool. It’s just a 15 a 20 minute stroll to Lucca and very quiet for a good night sleep. Free parking at the hotel. Great breakfast with eggs, fresh breads, fruit, cakes and much more. Amazing owners and their staff! Very friendly, they work hard and they will make sure that you will have a wonderful stay. You won’t regret this peaceful hidden gem! We will go back for sure!💚🤍❤️
