We absolutely loved staying here. Right on the water (Lucinda Cove). The place has a restaurant with fantastic water views - a chill "boat bar" but they also have excellent food. We passed through for just one night but would have loved to stay longer! Modern minimalist rooms with everything in good working order (aircon, wifi, hot water). The only odd thing was that we arrived just after a torrential rainstorm, and the sliding glass door to the balcony in our room had been left open, so the carpet was soaking wet. Others in our group had the same experience. It was marine-grade carpeting (so mildew-proof and quick-drying) but it was odd padding across soggy carpet when we got out of bed.

My friend and I had dinner there on Saturday evening and the meals were very disappointing. My friend ordered the beer battered fish and chips and could not eat it. The fish was so bland with no seasoning whatsoever it was like eating a lump of bland white goop. Just awful. I had the coral trout which whilst nice, could have done with a minute more in the pan. The side of broccolini was also undercooked and too hard to cut with a knife, had to eat it with my hands. Best thing was the potatoes and caper sauce. At $40 a meal, we would have got better at the local fish and chip shop for half the price and same view.

Great location for a chilled lunch and food was delicious. Staff were attentive without being intrusive and prices reasonable for such high quality meals. Best coral trout I’ve eaten in a long time. Restaurant was very quiet so hope more people discover and support this gem.

Had a 1 night stay before walking the Thorsborne Trail on Hinchinbrook. Great place to stay. Great meal. Owner very accommodating and provided towels for shower after walking the trail before we headed out of town. Definitely recommend to others.

Ate at the slipway restaurant. Absolutely fantastic 👏. We were seated promptly and well looked after. The children's high chair was probably the best I've seen. Service was awesome with us not waiting long at all between courses. The food was next level, steaks cooked perfect, with a reef topper that included bug. Great place to chill out at as well. Highly recommended.

Just remember to NOT book rooms downstairs!!! The cleaning ladies have not respected us at all as guests that book down stairs / so disappointed that for all 3 nights we had no peace full hours - every time there was new guests upstairs from us and it’s so load - Please consider them that is taking naps after lunch … and them that had a sleep in after a party upstairs the previous night… Rooms was clean Beds was lovely and comfortable The restaurant was brilliant every day! Love the gardens that was perfectly maintained!!

To call this place a resort is a joke. The bungalow was filthy. Self contained is a bit of a stretch. No dinner plates. One knife and fork. A frying pan with old food stuck to it. Not even a broom. The pool was unusable for the first day as it was green. Not once were we able to use the bbq due to a large crowd hogging the area every night without any issue from staff. There were cigarette butts littered all over the outside of our room.

Our recent stay at Lucinda cove was a nice experience overall. The highlight for us was the pleasant view of the ocean and Hinchinbrook Island from our room. It added a soothing touch to our stay, and we enjoyed taking in the scenery. The hotel's restaurant was brilliant we had steak and seafood! Our room was clean and comfortable, offering a great night's sleep. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and paul the manager always ready to assist with any requests. we would definitely stay again

While the view was amazing that is about all the positives we had. The room was right near the local boat ramp and the boat owners would be launching all morning from before dawn while blasting their music and revving their boats. Sleep was impossible after about 4am. We couldn't even get a table at the restaurant for the first two nights we were there. You would think you would make your inhouse guests a priority but not here. There were several pin bones in my wife's fish and our oysters were full of grit and shell particles. It was very disappointing and the wait staff had no idea what they were doing. I guess all kids have to start somewhere though. We were also lucky enough to have several members of the staff yelling at somebody in the end room about getting off the property. That's a great way to treat your guests! Overall I would recommend staying elsewhere.
