Luoyang Jianxi District Hotels

I'd heard so much about Hualian, the legendary 'Haidilao of the hotel industry,' and was really looking forward to staying there. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a room on the 3rd, so I ended up at the nearby Orange Hotel instead. The website said check-in was at 3 PM, but on the morning of the 4th, I called to see if I could check in around noon, and the front desk happily agreed. Driving into the hotel, I immediately noticed a common issue with older hotels: cars parked haphazardly in front of the lobby, making parking extremely tight. Once inside, the staff seemed very enthusiastic, offering a small gift and escorting me to my room. They also thoroughly explained the hotel's facilities and services. The room decor was clearly outdated and worn. To compensate for the lack of bedside outlets, the hotel had added a vertical power strip. The most unbearable part was having to step into an old-fashioned bathtub to shower. Although the hotel provided plastic non-slip slippers, there was still a significant risk of falling. It reminded me of The Luxe Manor in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, which was even older than Hualian. They had a half-screen covering the bathtub and a grab bar on one side, which made it feel much safer. And the shower head in the room was truly subpar; I wish they would replace it with a new one that had stronger water pressure. The snacks and fruit I ordered from the front desk arrived, and I couldn't help but laugh when I saw them. One orange was rotten. And there were only three Shine Muscat grapes… The breakfast was quite varied, but it was so crowded during meal times that it was hard to find an empty table. The toppings for the beef and chicken noodles were all empty and weren't replenished promptly. For lunch on the second floor, I tried to order several dishes, but they were all unavailable. The waiter explained that there was a wedding banquet, so many dishes couldn't be served. Overall, the hotel's service was decent; almost everyone I encountered greeted me. Also, I really appreciated the turndown service. They placed a floor mat in front of the bed, which reminded me of staying in hotels when I was younger – that used to be standard service, but it's rare to see it now. I've attached photos from my stay at The Luxe Manor in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, a few days ago, which is even older than yours. I hope Hualian Hotel takes this into consideration and renovates actively to improve!

Excellent hotel and service. Han Pei Pei was very helpful in arranging private car transportation to the high speed rail and telling us how to get to the National Peony Garden. The hotel breakfast is an extensive buffet in with 6 differ not kinds of Tea. For fruit they have Dragon fruit, strawberries, Rock Melon among many others.

The room is clean and tidy, with fresh fruit and yogurt every day. The waiter at 0782 is very warm and thoughtful. The transportation here is very convenient. There is also a snack street next to it at night, which is very lively.

The rooms are new and well-equipped. The twin rooms have large beds, perfect for a family outing. The drinks in the mini-fridge are free. The breakfast is rich and varied, and the White Horse Temple brand yogurt is delicious. Free snacks are also available at the front desk. Hanfu clothing and accessories can be borrowed downstairs. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly. They even gave me a fridge magnet when I left.

Booked 2 rooms, requested for same floor was given. One of the rooms we had have a very bad foul drainage smell, as the rooms were all carpeted the room was extremely dusty. If you are sensitive to dust, would suggest you to book somewhere else. Space wise is good as its spacious enough for our 2 big luggage and to accommodate our family when they came over. Housekeeping on L13 was courteous and helpful, not a single request was too much for her. I think the last few days of our trip the housekeeper had changed and did not clean as per our preference. But its okay. Breakfast: simple, just eat out or do delivery

The view from the room was stunning, with a verdant courtyard just outside the window. In the morning, you could hear birdsong, and at night, it was incredibly quiet. The room was thoughtfully decorated, with textured wooden furniture and fresh greenery. The air was odorless, and the cleanliness was meticulous, even the cracks in the tabletops were spotless. The carpeted hallways in the public areas were completely silent, and the elevator lobby was decorated with art, creating a sense of class. Staying here felt like living in a small garden, completely relaxing both physically and mentally. Those with a love for ambiance will truly love it!

The hotel is conveniently located near the scenic spot, and it is very convenient for eating, shopping and taking the subway. The hotel facilities are very new, and there are many small ornaments in the room, which are well placed and of high quality. As soon as you enter the hotel, the lady at the front desk will greet you. The service is very enthusiastic. She is responsive to your requests and answers your questions. She will also recommend transportation routes and food. She is very patient and considerate. The room is in a very satisfactory new Chinese style, the decoration is also very new, the atmosphere is simple, the environment is very beautiful. It was a very satisfactory stay and I will come again next time.
