I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Christchurch Airport (I arrived after midnight). For the price point and location, I got what I wanted: warm, clean, private, close to the airport. Check in and check out were both super fast. 
Just a tip to anyone arriving late (this has nothing to do with the hotel): bring a snack with you. There are plenty of places to eat nearby BUT if you arrive after midnight, all the eateries are closed (except McDonald's, but only the drive thru is open at that time).

I stayed in room w 8 pods shared bathroom. The bathroom was in a mess during this stay with no shower gel in all cubicles for the male and toilet bowls were very stained as compared to my first stay.
Very convenient location with staff manning round the clock which is a plus compared to other hostels n backpackers.

We arrived late at night but check in was simple. Decent location with a short walk to the China town area of Auckland with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Rooms were clean, quiet and had everything we needed! Would definitely stay here again and happily go to any other lylo locations too!
Staff were all friendly and helpful as well!
