The hostel is very good. The location is on a hill and there is a steep climb, but the view of the Basilica from the higher floors is some compensation. The staff is efficient. Most things are digitalized. The cleanliness is at a high level. There are all the basic amenities. I recommend.

Very clean rooms and beds. A guest Kitchen is available, you'll offer a 10%off coupon for the restaurant and the bar at the ground floor. Also close to the city center so that it's easy to see the sight of Lyon. However the hostel is a little bit far from Lyon Part Die railway station.

It was clean even though I stayed at 8 people room. The room had 2 restrooms so had no problem with that.

Pilo hotel was the nicest hostel I have ever stayed. The location is easy to travel to and the atmosphere was amazing with nice staff and comfortable facilities.

My stay is in Feb 2025 so the weather is okay and you will not felt so stuffy in the room. I can't imagine if you are staying during summer and even have AC because of the design of the capsules, it maybe be hot and stuffy. I also cannot imagine those who are very tall and will have difficulty accessing the capsules.(U will not be able to sit upright)..All in all is okay or a night or two from the price point. You have to put on your own bedsheet.

very good for money! keep in mind it's up a steep hill, but there's a close bus stop near by that takes you straight to the city centre.
towels/extra amenities are also a 5 euro charge
but all in all it was very warm and cosy, and the cafe downstairs was a nice area to work in. good value for money i definitely recommend if you're on a budget

My stay was good, nothing to complain about. Just sometimes need open window for freshness because it’s was smell old socks. Bed was good, location - is not that far from everything, service good. But if you want stay there you need have your own towel.

Pretty common area. Equipped with a kitchen, but which is closed at night.
Located on top of the mountain, which comes with both pro and con: the place could be tiring to travel to, but also offers varied view of the city.
The only complaint I might have is the upper bed could be hard and slightly dangerous to climb into/out (due to the bar, which was supposed to serve protection purpose?).
