The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the Ruins of St. Paul's, and the front desk staff (especially the lady) had an amazing attitude! (Either she was genuinely great, or I was just so relieved after coming from Hong Kong). It's a lifesaver for budget-conscious students like me. However, the cleanliness could be a tiny bit better – there were mosquitoes, and the air conditioning had a strange, indescribable feeling.

The hotel is super near the main walking street in the old town. Great restaurants and cafes nearby. Hotel room is very clean and the workers are super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

I was starving at 2 AM, and all the restaurants and shops outside were closed. I called the front desk and asked for some food. The lady at the front desk readily agreed. It was the warmest late-night snack I've ever had.

Super close to the Ruins of St. Paul's! And quite clean too! The service was good as well! Great value for money.

Have a great stay, room is clean and spacious. Near to tourist spot, eateries and bus stop are within walking distance. A little downside is that the morning light will shine through the toilet glass panel and make the room bright and clear as early as 6.45am (stayed on 4/April/2026). Please check and recheck that you select the correct branch location on map, there are 3 branches in Macau, because we have check in at wrong branch and need to drag the luggages up and down the slopes and staircases of the street twice.

There are 4 rooms on each floor, two facing the street and two by the elevators. It's incredibly noisy, especially from 11 PM to 6 AM when it's slightly better, but you can still hear people talking on the street. At other times, it's impossible to sleep. Motorbikes pass by every 2-3 minutes, and their uphill climb is particularly loud. I strongly advise anyone who needs a quiet environment or is a light sleeper to avoid this place. The window glass is purely decorative; it offers zero soundproofing. It honestly feels like sleeping directly on the street.

Super close to the Ruins of St. Paul's! Just walk through Travessa da Paixão (Love Lane) and you're at St. Dominic's Church, perfect for photos and checking in. The front desk staff even let me check in early, which I really appreciate! Five-star rating all the way!

Very accessible. It is on an uphill so there’s a bit of a climb but we had no problem. The bed really is hard as per reviews but considering how tired we are every night from all the walking, it did not matter that much. No issues with the place.

Choosing to stay at Macau Oh Be Cheerful Inn was absolutely the right decision! The room was cozy and comfortable, and the access control system made us feel very secure. The location is excellent, making it convenient and quick to get to all the major attractions. What touched us most was on our last day when we were leaving, the owner was incredibly warm and helpful. Not only did they help us carry our large luggage downstairs, but they also personally called a taxi for us and saw us off into the car. This kind of personal touch is really rare in Macau, and I highly recommend it!

A very nice hotel with well-equipped, spacious rooms. It's super convenient, with a convenience store right across the street, and you can walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's in about 8 minutes.

This hotel offers a great value for money. The rooms are simply designed and clean, centrally located , close to the Mont Fort and the ruins of Saint Paul. There are also shops and restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and welcoming, 🔆 but the hotel is located on an uphill road, which can make it a bit difficult to get to the closest bus station, especially with heavy luggage.

The location is great, very close to Senado Square and other nearby attractions. However, the soundproofing is terrible; you can hear the elevator running and the motorcycles downstairs are very noisy. The room is also quite small.
