I've never left a review before, but I'm truly speechless. I arrived at noon and was told check-in wasn't until 3 PM. I mentioned I had a one-year-old baby and asked if I could check in early, even just 10 minutes. The front desk staff flat-out refused, saying 3 PM is 3 PM, rules are rules, and they're inflexible.
Secondly, I visited during Chinese New Year, and the lobby was decorated with festive gold ingots. My one-year-old picked one up for a mere two seconds before a doorman, who was opening the door, reprimanded him to put it down. My child was so scared he immediately started crying.
Either put up a warning sign telling people not to touch them, or learn from other displays and glue them down so they can't be picked up.
I'm honestly at a loss for words. If it weren't for wanting a quiet hotel away from the crowds during Chinese New Year, who would choose this place?
I've been to Macau many times, and the people here are always so warm and helpful. I've never encountered such service staff before.
