Rio Hotel

The Rio Hotel was excellent! We booked a smoking room and it was fantastic – spacious, bright, clean, and tidy. The hotel's location is great, with a convenience store and bus stop downstairs, plus plenty of restaurants nearby, making it super convenient to get around. We stayed for 3 nights but unfortunately didn't have time to use the hotel pool, which is a shame, so we'll have to save that for next time. The hotel breakfast was also decent.

Right outside, there's a bus stop and a taxi stand. It's walking distance to Wynn, StarWorld, and Grand Lisboa, and just a few bus stops to Senado Square and the Ruins of St. Paul's. Getting to the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal and Gongbei Border is also super convenient. Plus, there are tons of convenience stores and local eateries nearby, so you'll have no trouble with food or getting around.

The place is quite spacious, but the room is a bit old and has seen better days. Macau was quite cold these past two days, and the duvet in the room was a bit thin. I asked for an extra one, but I was surprised when they said they'd charge 150 for a second one – that's a bit of a flaw, honestly. Otherwise, it's pretty decent. The transportation is convenient, and the food options nearby offer great value for money.

The front desk service was excellent and very welcoming. We even got a free upgrade to a suite! The room was clean and well-maintained, with a great view. The facilities were thoughtfully laid out, especially with the numerous charging ports, which perfectly solved the common problem of having too many electronic devices nowadays. This will definitely be my top choice for accommodation next time I visit Macau.

This is our top choice for hotels in Macau! We booked two family rooms for 6 people, and they were spacious and comfortable. It's also close to Wynn and MGM, so we could easily walk over to see the Tree and Fountain show in the evenings. Public transportation is convenient too. Highly recommend!

This hotel is budget-friendly, yet still quite decent. There are multiple elevators, which is convenient. It's located on Rua de Coimbra, with a bus stop right outside the door. It's about 400 meters from the Lotus Square, and there's also a racing museum nearby. Not far from the Lotus Square is the Guia Lighthouse, which I highly recommend visiting for panoramic views of the Macau Peninsula. Walking to Grand Lisboa isn't too far, but if you prefer not to walk, the bus is very convenient. Macau isn't big, but its urban layout is compact. For dining, you can head to the area around Rua de Pequim. Wynn Macau is within walking distance; you just need to use an underpass, go past StarWorld Hotel, and Wynn is right across. To get to Macau Airport, you can take bus AP1 from Lotus Square. It's also very close to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, accessible by bus route 3. The shower has strong water pressure, and housekeeping is prompt. Overall, a good experience! As a bonus, you can store your luggage for free for one day. It wasn't my first stay, and they collected a 500 MOP deposit, which was frozen via Alipay and unfrozen the day after check-out – very convenient.
