This is my second stay at the hotel. The hotel has nice Portuguese style architecture and a really relaxing atmosphere in the entrance hall. There is a nice view. I previously enjoyed my stay enough, in particular due to the exquisite bathtub, to return a second time. Little did I know that only one room has that beautiful bath tub and I was just extremely lucky on my first stay. My room this time was fine, but it just wasn’t as nice as my first stay. There was mold in the bathtub in a few places showing that the cleanliness is just standard, but not up to par for a 5 star hotel in my opinion. Macau is hot so it’seasy to have mold. Thorough cleaning is really important. In addition, because it is an older building, there are some little spiders and other little bugs in the rooms sometimes. Not any scary bugs, but still just a point. The hotel location is in a quiet area and near a bus stop. However, there are no convenience stores in the surrounding area (closest is a 15 minute walk) and the hotel does not provide many options to make up for this. The first time I stayed here I arrived at 9 pm and wasn’t even able to eat at the restaurant in the hotel. It seemed like a joke. In addition to that, there are not many restaurants open later thanthat in the area as well. So, I don’t recommend booking this hotel if you will need to eat later on in the evening. The staff is generally helpful but were never able to solve any problems I had completely. Personally, I think it is worth coming to the location to check out the architecture and design. There is a restaurant so you could come to eat a meal and enjoy those nice perks without staying in the hotel. I think I would come to the restaurant in the future, but I will most likely not return for another stay.

The service was great, and they had WeChat, so Chinese communication was effortless. They also offer airport pick-up or drop-off; you just need to arrange it with the front desk a day or two in advance. They'll pick you up according to your flight time. They can also help call a taxi, though it's best to request it 10-20 minutes ahead of time. The only downside was the lack of an elevator, but the staff were happy to help with luggage. The room was a spacious suite, and it came with slippers and bathrobes. The slippers were quite thick, which made a 'clack-clack' sound when walking on the floor. Toothbrushes, combs, and other toiletries were all provided in the room. The facilities were complete, though it's best to bring an adapter for the power outlets. There were outlets on both sides of the bed. There was a balcony with a pretty nice view of Zhuhai.

I first stayed at this hotel over ten years ago, and this time I revisited with my kids. My whole family was really happy with our stay. The facilities are great, the location is convenient, and it has a wonderful historic charm that's perfect for photos. We'll definitely be back!

Stepping inside, I found a living room with a sofa, and further in, a master bedroom with a large bathroom featuring a separate wet and dry area, a shower, and a bathtub. There was even an extra toilet right by the entrance! The balcony was also very spacious. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way, making it tough to catch a taxi, but the manager is happy to help with that. There's a subway station and a bus stop directly across the street, so once you get your bearings, it's quite convenient. The hallway is lined with celebrity photos, and apparently, a TV series was filmed here, which speaks to the pleasant environment. Breakfast was a little simple but perfectly adequate. I'm planning to return and stay for a week next time; it has a unique, classical charm. Since it's an old castle, there's no elevator, but you can have staff help with luggage. The manager is also very helpful and a really nice person. It's a great spot to enjoy some peace and quiet.

This hotel is conveniently located a 3-5 minute walk from the subway, and its seaside location offers great views. It's a heritage hotel, which is really lovely. The only slight letdown was the breakfast, which had a somewhat limited selection. The hotel itself has a lot of character, as it's a converted old castle, which means it doesn't have [The original review seems to be cut off here, but if it implies modern amenities, a good ending could be 'all the modern amenities' or 'the typical features of a modern hotel.']

Very good. The breakfast at nine was also nice, but there's no elevator, so climbing the stairs was tiring.

Overall, my stay at the Pousada de Sao Tiago in Macau was quite good. The hotel's setting is very unique, built into a hillside with a rich historical atmosphere. The terrace offers great views of the river and city skyline, providing a quiet and relaxing, resort-like feel. Both the architecture and the courtyard have a strong Portuguese influence, making for excellent photo opportunities. On the first night, we did encounter an unexpected issue: a leaking ceiling in our room caused a power outage. However, the front desk and maintenance team responded incredibly quickly. Staff arrived promptly to address the problem, maintaining a professional and patient demeanor throughout. Although it was late and we were quite tired, the entire resolution process was handled smoothly and efficiently. The next morning, the hotel manager personally apologized and arranged for us to change rooms, also offering a complimentary afternoon tea set as compensation. This demonstrated the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. Our subsequent stay proceeded without any further issues. Overall, despite the unforeseen incident, the hotel team's service attitude and problem-solving efficiency were commendable. The staff were all very competent. If you appreciate quiet, historic, and less-mainstream hotels, this place is definitely worth considering.

Traveling with a child, we stayed at this unique castle hotel. You can see the sea right from the balcony, and the decor is charmingly antique, perfectly matching the ancient castle's style. I personally really love this aesthetic. It's very conveniently located near A-Ma Temple, just a short walk away. I'd love to come back and stay again if I get the chance.
