Não é aceitável que o Hotel, sabendo que o cliente não pode comparecer por ausência de voo, não tenha aceite alterar a data da estadia. Não é aceitável. Não é bom para o Hotel nem para o turismo açoriano esta ânsia em lucrar uma noite, demonstrando total ausência de bom senso.

Stayed three nights in the hotel. The room was fresh and breakfast was good in comparison with others we have experienced on other islands on this trip. Was slightly disappointed they have a sauna but would charge us an hourly fee to turn it on. The outside pool looked nice and the laundry service was quick. There are admittedly limited hotel options on the island but this hotel isn't bad.

Hotel Caravelas is across the street from the ferry terminal and convenient to the sights of Madalena. My room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of items. I enjoyed my stay here.

Pretty basic hotel that certainly does not deserve its four star rating. Quite nice pool and bar and comfortable bed but the breakfast is pretty awful and the staff unhelpful to unfriendly. I would single out one particular front desk receptionist who was self important and obnoxious in a manner I have never encountered in a hotel anywhere in the world. A hotel to be avoided.

Nice clean hotel with lovely pool in a fantastic location. So close to everything. Helpful staff and good breakfast. Also a small early breakfast in the lobby for those leaving before usual breakfast hours, wich is a great idea. Some areas of the hotel are a bit dated. Rooms are clean and very quiet and good for sleeping but wifi was almost useless on the 3rd floor.

While this hotel is located right in the Marina next to the ferry terminal you are in for a few surprises. Let's start that it feels like you went back in time. The hotel seems pretty old, where you don't even have in room safes and if want to store something you have to ask the front desk to store it in the safe for you. When you hlgwt to your floor there are 2 full bathrooms which makes you think that you are in some dorm room with shared bathrooms, but that's not the case. There were nice surprises as well, where the pool has salt water vs plain old chlorinated. Another nice surprise was the breakfast, which had the cutest pancakes that were made by a machine that most of the people could not figure out how to work. The hotel is pretty clean nevertheless. Another surprises is if you are a light sleeper is the location of the ferry right by your windows which makes a pretty loud honking signal when it leaves and the last one leaves after midnight.

Nice hotel and convenient location. The AC didn’t seem to be working in the room when we first arrived, but after speaking with the front desk, it got fixed while we were out for the day. Unfortunately the AC continued to be finicky. Nice breakfast assortment which was included in our rate.

We made a family trip through the azores islands, a portuguese territory 2-3 hours off the coast of the mailand by plane. We made a point of visiting all the volcanic islands. It was extremely hard to get hotel and restaurant reservations, forcing us to settle for least favorites. The Caravela Hotel was one of those. I did expect more. People were nice enough, no complaints here. In my room the air conditioning was not working. I alerted reception and was informed that they were aware of 3 rooms without A/C, but " tomorrow" it will be fixed. It was never fixed and there were no other rooms available. It was a Hot Stay, to say the least. The answer to my asking daily was: "you know, we are on an island"... Theroom was ok and clean. If you are somewhat demanding as far as matresses go, get another hotel. There is an excelent breakfast and plenty of parking. Next time I come, I will book months in advance and stay at the island of Graciosa at the pousada on the city of Horta.
