Woodspring Suites Huntsville/ Madison

Room was dirty, still had previous occupants trash in trash cans, bed was made so I hope it was changed… walls very thin…

Overall 4 stars. Decent budget stay for a solo business trip for a week. Area was okay, well illuminated, right next to an Extended Stay, and across from a Walmart. The building was modern-ish with cameras, and everything works that's supposed to. It was probably renovated in the last few years, but you can also tell where they tried to save money, for example old, broken door trim in the bathroom, which a modern hotel wouldn't have that. The biggest downside are the walls/floors are thin, and you can hear everything above and next to you, and it's amplified louder because the rooms have hardwood floors instead of carpet to help muffle the noise. If you're a light sleeper, beware, I'd look elsewhere. Lastly, the smell in the hallways was bearable, but because they have both smoking and non-smoking rooms in the building, you can can easily notice walking in the hallway the smell of smoke from other rooms, and it wasn't always tobacco. Thankfully once you're inside your own room, I couldn't notice any smell. If you're sensitive to any smoke smell, beware, I'd recommend finding somewhere else. Wouldn't recommend for couples or families. Really best suited for individuals and business travelers on extended trips on a budget. Overall, it was fine, and it got the job done for my needs. If they could work on some of the things mentioned above, then it could easily be a 5/5 budget stay for extended solo or business people.

The staff was great but, this was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever attempted to stay at. This hotel has roaches. There was a rusted refrigerator in our room and the kitchen area was not clean. Do your research before you book. These prices are low low for a reason.

The filters in the heater was stopped up. Sink was full of dust. Refrigerator had moldy food in it

The floor I was on was very loud until the early morning hours. I can hear people talking and slamming of doors.

Baby cockroach in my room as soon as I arrived. No lamp in the room, only overhead lights. Tv remote didn't work. Bed was comfortable

Poor installation , bad AC on rooms , dirty hallways , dirty parking lot. They don’t have staff , I won’t stay in here no more.

Staff was awesome. It’s a shame the company doesn’t seem to reflect that in their hotel standards. Rundown broken alliances and bathrooms. It’s a shame when you feel like you should be paying by the hour when you stay there.
