Fortinn Puerta del Sol

The hotel has a great location in the city center, but the main entrance is small and easy to miss. The room was clean, but there were no slippers, toiletries, or bottled water.

Perfect location, in Plaza del Sol. We stayed in a 3-bedroom apartment, all with great-sized rooms and double beds. Each room had an electric kettle, coffee and tea available, as well as a mini-fridge and bottled water. There's only one bathroom at the end of the hallway, which wasn't a problem. In the central area of ​​the floor there's a well-equipped kitchen, shared by all the rooms on that floor. As they don't serve breakfast, anyone who wants to can prepare their own in the kitchen or have it in one of the many cafes/restaurants located nearby. The reception service is simply SPECTACULAR! Victor, incredibly friendly and helpful, was always willing to recommend places to eat and places to visit. He undoubtedly made our stay in Madrid much more enjoyable. It's not a luxurious place, it doesn't have a restaurant, but I would stay there as many times as I return to Madrid. For those traveling with family or friends, it's a great option.
