Bad experience, not recommended. I don't recommend it. First, there's no food selection (limited buffet). Second, there's no Wi-Fi in the rooms. Third, there's a persistent damp smell in the hallways and rooms. The overall experience was disappointing.

This is my second El Mouradi Hotel, after last year’s El Mouradi Skanes at Monastir. On the overall, I enjoyed my stay thanks to the courtesy and commitment of the hotel staff. Food was abundant and varied, our room was spacious and daily cleaned, the beach was great and so was the swimming pool. I read many good comments about the animation team but I think it is a little exaggerated. The team was mainly focused on the foreign residents (especially the young females). Tunisian residents were the least to be looked at by the entertainers. I also read on some booking sites that WIFI was available in rooms: This is totally untrue because you get WIFI free connection only at the lobby; still the signal is very weak because of the many users In the rooms, there is a safe to keep valuables, a mini-bar and a flat TV showing local TNT channels and some polish, French, Arabic and Russian channels (all SD channels with poor image quality). The beds are fairly comfortable. A/C is good and we never felt the heat of the outside. The restaurant is large enough to accommodate 200 people max (there were 800 residents on our arrival date, on 20th June). So, you can imagine the crowd waiting outside until some tables are freed. If you are among the first batch, you will get the best foods and a great variety of dishes. Those coming later will still get plenty of food but some dishes will disappear and variety is affected. In a word, the hotel has to improve the WIFI connection, the TV programs and the shifts at the restaurant (by telling the residents who is on the first batch and who is on the second one. Now, if you are a local resident coming with your car, you may meet a parking problem because there are little parking spots within the hotel’s premises. They may ask you to keep your car outside until some spot is freed. On the overall, the hotel is worth booking because of its location and professional behaviour of its staff. I must thank Mrs Amira (PR Officer) for all the assistance and courtesy extended to us. Our thanks to Ismail and his colleagues at the restaurant where the Butler was always ready to assist. My last appreciation is for the Hotel Manager for his commitment and attitude to make the stay of all residents a memorable one.

Upon arrival at the hotel our transfer was around 2- 2.5 hours from the airport, we had a direct transfer without any stops. As we arrived late, there were no facilities open apart from duty free in the airport at night to buy snacks / drinks so make sure you have some if you need it prior to leaving your departure airport or the airplane onboard snacks. At arrival they did however save us some food and plated up a salad, some chicken, rice and potatoes which was a nice touch and gave us a large bottle of water. This was around 11pm. Tunisia is a closed currency so if you need some and haven’t organised this at the airport, there is a cash point approximately 10 mins walk from the hotel. At the hotel our check in process was easy and we were given a selection of rooms to chose from. We chose the sea view which was basic, but definitely fine for our needs. Please note, this hotel probably was a 5* back in the day, but realistically it’s more like 3*. We had 2 single beds, separate toilet and bathroom with a balcony. The tv had Channels but were mainly in French. WiFi throughout the hotel is pretty good though so you can use your phone to stream to the tvs etc if you want to. The room was carpeted throughout and many have criticised this - we personally didn’t see this as an issue as it was cleaned daily and the maids were in the room daily to clean/ change towels etc. The food is relatively basic and repetitive. We came at the start of season so it’s probably unfair to give a full true reflection but we managed to find something to eat everyday without failure, although found breakfast the most limited. There is however cereal, omelettes, eggs and crepes which we tended to eat repetitively. Lunches varied generally with the options being fish or beef with rice or potatoes and similarly with the evening meal with sometimes offering turkey or chicken. At breakfast you can pay 4 dinar for fresh orange - worth it! Please note every day there is Pizza freshly made so at the very least you’ll definitely find something to eat. The bar soft drinks are Fanta/ coke / lemonade, then there is strawberry juice, lemon and orange (these are like dilute but extremely strong). There is also a machine which you can find with breakfast offering pineapple juice, apple, orange, tropical juice etc. again we found we had to dilute with a little water. At the bar you can ask for water and they give you a big bottle of 1.5l which is handy so don’t buy this from the shop on site! As for alcoholic drinks there are local spirits, beer, wine and cocktails. The cocktails vary depending on who makes them but I would say the pina colada was probably the closest to what it should taste like. Please note it is quite pushy for sales of quads/ camels or The spa treatments, equally if you go out into the town of Mahdia make sure you hide your wristband! They use the local “oh I’m a chef at your hotel” technique to lure you into their shops to buy souvenirs. It is ext

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The food is fine, the pool and the beach are superb, the room is not equipped with a refrigerator while am having three kids who r using medication (even though we contacted the reception and said they ll try to get me one but then nothing), the carpet has an old, musty odor in the room..the animation team is very welcoming, but the animation itself need more work,

We spent one great week in a hotel. Everything was nice. Evenings were amazing thanks to the great animation team: Achref, Sarah, Momo, Saif and Aymen. They tried really hard to entertine the guests. Every evening we enjoyed the show and the dance after the show. Really nice Team.
