Hotel Maritimo

I can't praise this wonderful hotel enough. This was our 40th wedding anniversary gift to ourselves. We were made to feel so welcome and friends with many of the staff in such a short period of time. Everything was just fantastic from the location, the hotel rooms and amenities to the beach literally 40 meters from the front of the hotel across a promenade that runs from Makarska harbour some 2 km out along the front of the shoreline. I booked with Jet2 as a package holiday for 9 nights and I must say that the experience was almost perfect. Great flight times including the coach transfer from Split airport to the hotel approximately 1 1/2 hours. For a 1st time visit to Croatia I wish I had discovered this incredibly beautiful country years ago. The Dalmatian Riviera is a name well deserved and I intend to return next year for 2-3 weeks. I hit the jackpot when i booked this holiday package.

This was our first visit to Makarska and to the Maritimo Hotel. Hotel is in a great location with lovely walks along the sea front with lots of bars and restaurants close by. Hotel is spotless on the beach front. Great choice of food and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Would definately recommend this hotel and location and will definately be back. 10 out of 10

Second time at this hotel and hopefully won’t be the last. Excellent value for money. The breakfast is outstanding, such a vast choice, and good quality. We had several meals in the restaurant. Good prices and lovely food. The room was spacious, clean, tv, air con, safe, mini bar etc. And quiet. No noise from other rooms. The staff are all friendly and professional. Hotel is in a good location. Right on the promenade and across from the beach. The harbour and old town are an easy walk away. All in all, excellent.

Great place. I've stayed several times now. Wonderful food. Lovely staff. Breakfast is like you might get on a cruise ship. Lovely rooms, whether with a sea view or not. In fact, the view to the back, of the mountains is nice too. Away from the centre, so not too noisy. The beach is just across the footpath from the reception.

This is a friendly family family hotel and you can tell. Everything about this hotel was excellent - the staff, the rooms, the food, the service and location! It was certainly better than a 3-star! The breakfast was varied and delicious. This was our first visit to Croatia and we loved it and will definitely return, especially to the Maritimo.

Lovely clean hotel . Friendly welcoming staff . Breakfast had lots of choice . We also chose to eat in the restaurant 2 evenings & the food was lovely & reasonable prices. Room was nice with modern showeroom kettle & teas / coffees . Location great . We had a wonderful time . Well done team

Having spent the last three years enjoying the fruits of my retirement by holidaying in 4/5 star hotels I was persuaded by my partner to book a holiday at the Hotel Maritimo which is a 3 star establishment. Approaching this venture with trepidation I was astounded at the quality of this hotel. Everything was top top class from the reception staff, the cleaners, the room, the breakfast offering and the waiting staff. To say this was a 3 star hotel is a mockery. I have stayed in many many higher ranked hotels including Hilton’s that couldn’t hold a light to this one. It was noticed the many certificates of excellence that were framed on the reception wall. Pretty soon there won’t be room for many more. So my advice is do not hesitate to book your next vacation here at the Queen of the Makarska Riviera. Any way the wind blows ….

This hotel is excellent. With very friendly staff. The rooms are cleaned to the highest standard every day. Beds are big so comfy and the softies pillows I have ever seen.Absolutely loads of choice.for breakfast lunch and dinner. Something for everyone. The sea is right on you're door step. The hotel has a selection of items for you to use at the beach.these are kept outside .right beside the reception desk..out check in. Was very quick.and as I was here for my 60th birthday. The staff left me a lovely letter and small gift.which I thought was so nice of them...this is our last day here. And we will miss it..its been very hot here. Now its time to go back home to the wind and rain.. thanks you to all the hard working staff.you all do a amazing job.with long hours.. I didn't take a lot of pictures of our stay in this hotel but its beautiful.

The surroundings are beautiful and worthy of a five star hotel, but it isn't. The staff gave difficulty with simple social greetings and come across as very brusque. The only person who was friendly was Ena. The hotel receptionist only spoke to welcome us on arrival and to bid us farewell. Beyond that nothing. Food was nothing to write home about. It was mainly sweet cakes and other diabetes inducing fodder. On one more I found s mouldy orange. The water served from a cooler was also tainted with something that turned it cloudy. This was changed by one of the brusque staff. The room was OK Overall, Croatia is a beautiful country, but the people are rude, ignorant and surly. They need a few lessons in etiquette and people skills. PS. They allow smoking in dining areas!
