KL Tower Makati Apartments by PH Staycation

My stay was very disappointing. First of all, there was no futon provided in my room on the first day. When I asked for one, I was told, "Since it was after 3 p.m., they wouldn't provide it until the next day," so I ended up spending the whole day in the cold. I was surprised that even basic hotel preparations were not made. Furthermore, the bathroom was poorly cleaned and very dirty, and it was inconvenient that there were no slippers in the room. (When I stay in KL, slippers are always provided in other rooms.) Also, the fact that the key was an old-fashioned one instead of an electronic one made me feel unsafe. Overall, I felt that improvements were needed in terms of comfort, hygiene, and service. Please note that this room (the hotel name displayed on the date) is managed by a private owner, not a regular KL hotel. If you want a regular KL room, I recommend staying at another KL Link managed by HII, or another nearby hotel. I was very disappointed with my stay. I was shocked that the hotel couldn’t even provide such a basic necessity. In addition, the bathroom was extremely dirty, and the room didn’t have any slippers. (Whenever I stay in KL, other rooms always provide slippers, so this was surprising and inconvenient.) The room key was also an old-fashioned physical key instead of an electronic one, which made me feel uneasy about safety. Overall, I felt that improvements are needed in all aspects: comfort, cleanliness, and service. One thing to note is that the management company of this specific room (the one shown under this listing) is not the same as the usual KL hotel. I was told it is managed by a private owner. If you want to stay in a regular KL-managed room, I recommend booking through a different KL listing—specifically one marked as “Management by HII”—or choosing another nearby hotel.

Check-in was easy. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by a mind-bogglingly pungent smell, either of air freshener or cleaning products. It dissipated within a day, or maybe we'd gotten used to it. The beds were okay, we slept well, but the bathroom was a bit clunky. The shower drain wasn't secured properly and fell out when I slipped on the non-slip mat. The air conditioner works well, but it's mounted underneath, blowing directly onto the bed. You have to cover it with a curtain to avoid getting sick at night. The balcony has a nice view of two small gardens; if you look down, everything is green. There's a 7/11 nearby, but I found the selection very limited. The gym and pool on the 7th floor are more for show. Overall, the stay wasn't bad, and it wasn't great, for the money. The location was excellent for us.

It is located in front of Legazpi Park, and the view was good because I was assigned to a high floor. The facilities are a bit poor compared to other accommodations in the same building, but it is okay if you are staying for a short period of time. There is a washing machine in the bathroom, so if you buy detergent, you can do laundry that will remind you of the 90s.

Other than that, the room facilities are average, only the bed sheets but no quilt.
