Hotel Promessi Sposi

The hotel was beautiful. The interior was modern, chic and peaceful. The staff in the restaurant were great. The front desk was very professional, helpful and gracious. The rooftop bar had a gorgeous view. To get to the boats we had to take a taxi, but it was a quick ride . Highly recommend

A lot of good memories and uncharacteristic moments: my friend had problems with calling a taxi - hotel owner personally took him where he needs to be; breakfast always fresh and waiters are happy to let you into the restaurant few minutes early without a fuss (I needed to get into the transport for work); whatever else I needed - always got help. It seems that in this place guests are personalities, not faceless individuals from the never ending crowd.

Recently, I stayed at this beautiful hotel with 3 of my friends. We were not familiar with the area or the hotel before staying but couldn't believe our luck at finding this gem! There were a number of stand-out ascots of our stay. Rooms - The rooms we had were lovely - so clean and the beds were really comfy. We had a view of the beautiful courtyard gardens and we were also able to very easily stay longer on our last day (adding a late checkout until 6pm so we could use the spa). Staff - The staff were truly one of the biggest highlights! The reception staff, the lovely people who ran breakfast each morning and, notably, the lovely cocktail barman who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cater to our group's dietary requirements and allergies. Location - The location of the hotel is fantastic too - Lecco I within walking distance and has everything you need from an array of gelato shops and cute independent businesses to a larger shopping centre with a big supermarket. The connections to other places are also great, with the train station in Lecco connecting to Milan (approx 40mins) and other parts of Como (Verenna approx 1hr). Food and drinks - Our stay included a buffet breakfast and it far exceeded our expectations. As well as the usual cereals, continental breakfast items and the like, there were also delicious hot options and the staff were more than happy to cook items upon request. This was especially helpful for this travelling with dietary needs! We also dined at the People Bar and at Giovannino - both of which were outstanding. As aforementioned, the barman was lovely and made us all sorts of drinks based on our likes and dislikes. What a star! Spa - On the final day, we also used the spa facilities. Although it is small, it was lovely and well worth the cost of just 20 euros per person. We had a 2 hour session and had the spa to ourselves. The view is beautiful and it's a very peaceful atmosphere. We would absolutely stay here again and I was sad to leave after the fantastic stay we had. Amazing place with amazing service , it was my first visit to Italy and the promessi sposi will always have a special place in my heart. From the customer service, with staff being as accommodating as possible to the cleanliness of the hotel space and rooms and the views , I believe this is one of the best places to stay in Como.

This hotel offers an incredible location with a mesmerizing view of the lake and mountains. The staff members are absolutely adorable and are always here to ensure a pleasant stay. With recent renovations, the hotel boasts a fresh and modern atmosphere. There is a good breakfast that can be enjoyed alongside the perfect mountain backdrop. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable and enchanting getaway. There are only a few minor points for improvement. Firstly, you should definitely include a toilet brush as a standard amenity in each room, amenities for soap and paper towels. Secondly, the room service fee of 10 euros per order seems a bit high and could be reviewed to provide guests with a more reasonable pricing structure. Lastly, the breakfast area could be enhanced to create a cozier atmosphere with some boards or paintings to improve the overall ambiance.

We booked a balcony room overlooking the Lake and WOW! We had the most romantic and unforgettable stay. The staff is so kind and generous, we will definitely stay again next time we’re in the Como area.

The hotel is well located and has several things to recommend it: Very good and friendly service. Excellent breakfast. Very clean and well managed. A good location on the lake near Lecco. Affordable entry level rooms. And good restaurants on site and nearby. There are some things to be aware of. The room design is modern/spartan and rooms could have been better designed/appointed. E.g. quite small, complicated lighting controls, bad lighting, absolutely no counter space in the bathroom, no coffee/tea maker (though this can be requested). While we love contemporary design the public areas were too spartan for our taste with no sense of place and lacking warmth. There is some on-street parking and the hotel has a garage as well.

Despite a relatively small superior room and initial frustrations with the tv casting, which apparently only works with android phones we had a lovely stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food in the bar was very good which makes me think that the hotel chef is very good as they have two restaurants that we did not frequent. We ate in the bar three nights because we prefer eating dinner around 6pm not the usual 7 to 9 in Italy. Highly recommended if you are staying in the area.

The hotel itself is a work of art, staff are numerous and provided great service, and the 3 different dining options were great. The bistro just across the street had the best pasta and pizza we have had so far in Italy. The fine dining option was great, and they acommodated allergies well. The only thing to be aware of, is it is a bit away from everything (can be a positive as well, as it is quiet and peaceful). Not really a major negative, you just have to plan your day around when the ferries or trains come from Lecco. About a 15 min walk to the train station which is very scenic, or a quick taxi if you have bags. It is more like a resort than a hotel, but quiet small and friendly still. This just means that you don't even need to leave the hotel as there is lot's to do and various dining options. Spa was amazing and was truly luxurious. For a price of 20 Euros each, that is very reasonable compared to other hydrotherapy spas. Rooms have high ceilings, technology like touch screen lights and modern TV was great. The stay was luxurious and amazing. Highly recommend promessi sposi!
