Luxury Hotel Riva

This Luxury hotel was opened in 2019, and is located in the centre of the Malinska on the Island of Krk. Because it was opened so recently, everything is very modern and quite new. I do not have enough superlatives to describe our stay here! Firstly our suite was superb, with an extremely comfortable bed, extraordinary soft shower, two sinks, a bidet and heated towel rail. The room safe was enormous! Our balcony had a private jacuzzi and loungers with a beautiful views of the sea. The hotel facilities include a fabulous spa, fitness centre, indoor and outdoor pools and several different types of saunas including an Adult view sauna. The property does not have a business centre, but the ever helpful reception will reconfirm your flights. The staff were attentive, helpful and empathetic, and the service everywhere was outstanding. We have stayed at many 5* resorts world wide, but I can't remember any where your breakfast table is chosen for you according to room number, but the excellent breakfast compensates for this. Would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend anyone to do the same! Well done!!!

It is a beautiful hotel in heart of Malinska. Rooms are large and beautiful. Bed is perfect. You can Stay in it. all day. Service is great. From recepcion to restaurant staff. Only one thing. Morning during breakfast you can not sit where is empty table you have your table by Room number. This never happened to us before in 5 star hotel. Breakfast was great.

The primary role of any hotel let alone a 5-star luxury hotel is to keep their guests and their possessions safe. In the case of Luxury Hotel Riva this they had comprehensively failed in that task. Our 2 teenage sons were asleep in their room and the night porter/security were duped by 2 drunken women that their husband was in our son’s room and the night security took them up to our son’s room and opened the room door for the 2 women to go on in. This was all done without checking if the 2 women knew the ID of the people that were registered in our son’s room or even checking with us who was in the main billing room for our son’s room. Having got into the room they came out having taken the room key from the wall slot and then proceeded to return to the room staying in the room for 10 minutes to rob my sons of their various valuables and credit cards. When I reported this story to the police at the police station, the first police officer commented that he had been working in Krk for a long time and this was the first time he had heard of such a case. It is easy to blame the hapless night porter for such a serious lapse of security if it wasn’t for the fact that he clearly lacked any training as in a meeting with the owners of the hotel after the event it was clear that basic identification of people requesting to be let into rooms without a key was something they still had to put in place.

Amazing stay in this hotel. Great location. Although in a pretty busy area, no noise from outside. The room was extra large, simply decorated, comfortable and clean. Very quiet air conditioning. The restaurant and food is the same great quality. And of course the staff is top as well. Thanks for the stay
