We drove all the way from London to WHATLEY MANOR, the location is really rural bit quiet. IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL MANOR SINCE 1929. We booked a suite room and upgraded to extra single bed for my son and cost 150£, which is considered very expensive. We booked for 2 nights and it cost us 1500£, [ breakfast included ] in my opinion is very pricey for this location. I think their selling points are spa, sauna, thermal room , hydro pool but for Asian , it is too common for us.The beds are very comfortable, room is very spacious and cozy, provide good quality amenities. They have really beautiful garden good for walking and reading books. Beside price, everything is good.

Whatley manor We have stayed at this luxury hotel before and it was a very pleasant stay. So after some health issues we decided to spend 2 nights here as a treat and a relaxing time in a Junior Suite We arrived and were shown to our room which seemed very pleasant although very cold. On ringing reception to ask about the heating we were told that one of the 2 large radiators in our room wasn't working and after investigation was further told a new radiator has to be 'made' for the room! Fine in the summer but not when the temperature outside is very cold. We ended up with 2 electric heaters in the room to compensate. Not very high end! No offer of a room change either. NB: Noticed a review from Feb 24 saying heating in this room did not work! Must take a long time to make a new radiator! Why let a junior suite room of £600 per night with inadequate heating? No apology by management who were notable by their absence. The room was pleasant but dated with a small bathroom with a shower cubicle that leaked! Also no turndown service which was a surprise at a 5 star pricey hotel. The bed was very comfortable though. Another surprise was a 10% service charge added to our bill including accommodation! And after ordering two cocktails at £20 each we were charged £4 for crisps!? Seriously? I'd call that penny pinching. We ate at Greys twice. Sunday lunch food was excellent. However the service was shocking. At a high end restaurant should we really have to look after ourselves - no wine or water poured and had to ask for our table to be cleared and catch a waiter/waitresses eye for service. Most staff were not engaged (some just miserable) even though they didn't seem that busy. Our second meal the next day - the staff were a complete contrast. Attentive and pleasant. And professional. USP ports needed, room needs a refurb and consistency in service required. On a positive note the gardens are fabulous and will be stunning during the summer time. Sadly we felt things weren't quite right with this stay at WM. You pay high prices you expect a certain standard.

Wonderful hotel, every detail taken care of. We were upgraded to a gorgeous suite and everything about it was super-comfortable and luxurious which made the whole weekend very special. We had lovely breakfasts and dinners. Breakfast has a small cold buffet area but staff were accommodating to bring for example cherry tomatoes and you can order hot food which was delicious. Good coffee! We also had dinner on our first night in the main restaurant which I preferred over the second night when we went to the 1* Michelin dining experience the following night. The Michelin restaurant is pared down decor and although the food was creative, served beautifully and delicious, I just prefer a more casual dining experience but that's just my personal taste. There's a gorgeous lounge with open log fire and we also had a delicious lunch of soup and sandwich here on Saturday. The lounge is a lovely cosy place to sit and read and chill. We also did a mat Pilates class on Friday and it was great! The spa massage was fantastic too. Highly recommend a visit (as a treat because it's not cheap but for the weekend getaway we wanted it was perfect).

Well we’ve been before and I’m afraid to say this was as disappointing. They seem to have a disproportional view of how good the place is and their service in it. Sorry twice is enough. We had one of their top suites suites. Really. Poor and expensive.

Had a wonderful spa day , lovely warm welcome from Louise who showed us round and a great explanation of all of the facilities. I had a full body massage and a facial both of which were fantastic and so relaxing, my therapist Jayne was so knowledgeable and lovely and tailored my facial for me as I have sensitive skin. The surroundings are just beautifully maintained and stunning, fortunate to have wonderful weather Thank you for a fabulous day

We enjoyed a very memorable trip to Whatley Manor for my wife's impending Birthday & our Anniversary! The staff could not have been more helpful ... the food was excellent and the gardens outstanding. Sustainability is clearly a high-priority so, by way of a small example: water usage is monitored and fresh produce is grown on-site. My wife enjoyed her hot stone massage and left with a smile on her face and I gleaned some much-needed new brownie points! Basking in the glory ... well-worth a trip ...

We recently enjoyed a Fantastic short stay at this super hotel. I particularly love the relaxed ambiance and consistently great staff. This, when coupled with a stunning building and grounds, great food and a top spa makes it hard to beat and is certainly our favourite hotel in the area.
