Hotell Viktors

We didn’t stay here, but close by in a cabin. Came to this place twice - once to buy a pizza and a second time to have a drink. We sensed very negative energy amongst the staff and one barman in particular was in a very bad mood, blaming everyone around him and even criticising me for my taste in drinks. That is a big no-no. Keep your staff issues behind the scenes and never try to belittle a paying customer. Ironically, the cocktail he made was also under average - their take on an Old Fashioned - don’t order it. The one across the street at Harry’s is leagues better. Viktor’s is superficially elegant but actually not good. Take an extra look around and you see dusty surfaces, paintings that are unaligned, debris left lying around. These are all small details, and in other context might not matter. However, together with the terrible service, it is not acceptable for the premium standard this particular establishment is trying to present.

We travelled to Viktors on a recommendation of friends who had stayed there previously. We travelled with our 4 children (10 to 16 y/o) and we weren't disappointed. Hotel is uber comfortable with great ambiance. Our host Carina was amazing and helped us with organizingeverything for our family.. skii hire, lift passes, taxi booking, dog sledding, dinner booking, train tickets and any other assistance we needed. Not being used to the short daylight hours, we were pleased to be able to relax in the resuarant, spa and lounge bar upstairs after dark when the temperatures dropped. Another highlight was the dinner performance with Joe Lebero (illusionist) which Viktors organsied. Fantastic service by all the staff throughout our 7 day stay. We had a really enjoyable hoiliday and thanks to Carina and Staff. I would't hestitate to recommend Viktors to couples or familes.

Viktors is a great Hotel, ideally located, the main restaurant is great and most of al the team there are all fantastic, a real highlight. However they really let themselves down on two counts, breakfast is average at best and doesn’t befit a hotel of this quality and the pizza’s served in the bistro look and taste like they are just frozen pizza’s bought from the supermarket, a missed opportunity.
