Manchester West Didsbury

Hotel was ok, little run down and not very clean. Ideal location for didsbury.

In my opinion, Premier Inns always represent value for money providing you reserve a room in advance at the right price. The rooms are always clean and tidy and the buffet breakfasts are excellent. Nevertheless, on this occasion, there were a couple of issues: If you are staying for more than one night you have to request at reception that your room is cleaned during your stay. This we duly did but it didn’t happen. In fairness to the young lady on reception she accepted responsibility for not passing on our request to housekeeping. The second issue occurred at breakfast. Although the restaurant has a plate warmer the plates were stacked far above the recessed heater and, as a consequence, were cold. Hot food on a cold plate is not ideal and I therefore requested a warm plate from the kitchen. A member of staff, ‘Peter’ was most obliging but on our third day Peter was not around and a request was made to ‘Katie’ instead. Katie’s body language clearly reflected her disdain at my request but, nevertheless, she took a plate into the kitchen. A little while later she emerged, holding the plate with a folded tea towel. She handed me the plate which I had to put down immediately. The plate was scorching hot and my fingers were severely burned. Katie walked away laughing…

Great service, very clean room, staff outstanding. Stayed for a football trip and the staff looked after remarkably. Room super clean and hospitality exceptional. Could not fault the service, will definitely be back for future trips. Thankyou

The hotel is clean and well located near good transport links. The staff were 5* and willing to help in any way, making the stay very pleasant. What a beautiful little gem of a place located in a very nice area, well supported by local bars and restaurants.

Hotel was clean and functional and ideal for short stay business travel. Check-in was friendly. Breakfast was just okay and bar closed at 10pm in Beefeater next door. Overall good experience. Wifi very good and room clean and well thought out

James and Naima are two of the kindest and most helpful staff I’ve met. Went the extra mile!! Helped me with heavy equipment. Made my travel experience so relaxing. I was exhausted from travels and events. Had driven from London on Saturday and stopped at Birmingham before heading on to Manchester.

We stay here regularly when visiting my son in Manchester. The hotel is convenient, the staff are always friendly and helpful, and the rooms are quiet and comfortable. The usual Premier Inn eating arrangements with a Beefeater Inn next door providing adequate food but the hotel is quite close to some excellent eateries in Didsbury Village as well. Exactly what you would expect from a Premier Inn.

I stayed here for one night before an early morning flight from Manchester airport. Check in was fast and staff friendly. The family room on the ground floor was large and very quiet. The beds were comfortable and we all had a good sleep. The pub next door Christie fields is where breakfast is served. We weren’t around for breakfast, but we went there for dinner with friends who live nearby. It was not a good experience and we wouldn’t choose to eat there if we stayed at premier inn again. This hotel is only around 10-15 mins drive from the airport and I would definitely stay here again if it wasn’t too expensive.

Pleasantly quiet for a night's sleep, given its quite busy location. But only quiet after we had moved from our first room which had a noisy extractor mechanism running that couldn't be turned off. The staff were very helpful and responsive in organising our change of room. The breakfast experience at the Beefeater was appalling. Lukewarm, tasteless coffee; vegetarian options a joke; loud commercial radio playing; grim-faced service. Find your breakfast elsewhere if you want a good start tro the day.
