My husbands side of the family grew up in this neighborhood. We were celebrating his cousins wedding at the chateau near by. Most of his family booked up this hotel which we were able to book 3 separate rooms for one night on one of the third party websites. My in-laws arrived early hoping to at least get one room for early check-in so we can all manage to get ready. The mom/son who own this hotel should be ashamed of themselves for running a hospitality service. They couldn’t be more blatantly rude. They said they don’t allow one night stays though all third party websites had the option. They said they didn’t want to hear about this wedding that they kept on hearing and They proceeded to make check in very complicated. When my husband asked the son for an iron at the front desk - the son said in French, “the ironing equipment is attached on the walls here” so he asked if he could give him the shirt and will be happy to give money. The son rudely huffed and said, “no, go to the dry cleaner service in the main town”. He then asked the mom, who finally gave him an iron and board the size of 30cm. Impossible to iron anything on. During check out, which all websites state it’s 12PM. They gave my in-laws (who paid for all 3 rooms) another issue that check out is at 10AM. That we should have known that because we checked in a couple hours early. The entire energy of the hotel was awful. There were no smiles, they would rudely stare as you come and go, very unwelcoming people. It’s so unfortunate because it’s a quaint hotel and also had great reviews! Well located. Clean pool. AC works efficiently and pretty courtyards.
