View: 4.5/5 Villa size: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Maintenance: 2/5 This villa is as big as it looks on their website with amazing view. However, it is quite rundown and needs a refresh, especially the toilet. The toilet bowl has stains and the overall bathing area are mouldy. I understand we’re in the middle of nature but I would expect better maintenance. Plus the water pressure was low. Maybe it was the rainy season (it rains every evening/overnight), the area is filled with millipedes everywhere, the worst part is that they are in the villa as the doors/sliding doors have gaps. We’re fine if the insects stay outdoors but the millipedes enter our villa every single time and they appear at every creak of the villa. It was tiring trying to keep them out of the villa. The redeeming factor for the villa is really the view, the Indonesian cuisine at Aura and their prompt service. The view is as amazing as you see on their website, if not more. And they have exceptional food at their restaurant and the service was superb. And yes, there are monkeys in the morning and evenings. The staffs will inform you upon check-in, to lock the doors and avoid eye contact.

The room has a stunning view. Our 12D villa's living room has a 270-degree glass view, which will make you stay on the sofa and don't want to move. The most worthwhile thing to try is the spa. The three technicians all have good skills. I had it three times during my 5-day stay. It is very cost-effective. The restaurant's food is also very good, but the selection of dishes is a bit limited. But maybe the room is too big, so cleaning it is a bit stressful, not hygienic enough, and the floor is not safe to walk on barefoot. Moreover, it is located in a remote location on the mountain, and it is not very convenient to go anywhere. There are a lot of charcoal bugs on the mountain, which is unavoidable, but it may not be suitable for ladies who are afraid of insects, because they can really get into every hole.

Nothing is too much for Maya, Wawan, Devi, Gabby, Sanuci and the team. Set on an idyllic promontory overlooking the bay Selongselo is a wonderful experience on all levels. The accommodation is exemplary, dining is excellent and the service… the service! Wow! We had a great villa, with a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the beautiful Selong Belanak bay. The service of the resort is excellent. Great breakfast is included in your stay. Just great for a relaxing and luxurious stay at an amazing location (insane views). Beware that it’s located on a hill and therefore the drive to the beaches takes a little longer, but if you rent a scooter you can enjoy the amazing surroundings!

The views from our villa were phenomenal, this was the perfect end to our honeymoon. The staff is extremely kind and very personable remembering mine and my husbands names and preferences every time we arrived to the restaurant. The food was exceptional and had good variety. Our stay and the spa felt luxurious and we will truly miss this gem of Lombok.

The most amazing place we have ever stayed, everything was exceptional. The staff were so friendly, attentive and welcoming. The villa was beyond words - breathtaking view, clean, spacious, air con and comfy beds. We could not have asked for more. The food was also delicious and they catered for my peanut allergy which put me at ease. I could not recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back one day! Would highly recommend selong Belanak beach - it is the nicest on the island. We did a day trip to Kuta but it had nothing on this place. It is such a lovely hidden gem in the jungle, pure paradise.
