A nice, clean and cosy place to stay. Just a short walk to Margaret River Town and you can get just about anything! Steve the owner is extremely friendly and always ready to give advise on nice restaurants and places to visit around the region. Love the no frills and eco friendly way the place is managed. Kudos to Steve and his team;)

Could not rate more highly. Lovely place to stay. Great location. Owner was a wealth of knowledge about things to do in the area. Very clean and comfy.

We booked a Family Room Room No 1 that come with 1 x king bed and 2 x single bed. Room is spacious, nice and clean. The beds are comfortable. However, we only stayed one night and could enjoy the room and surrounding much.

My first stay in Margaret River was a great experience thanks to this motel and Steve. He gave me detailed information about surfing and wineries in Margaret River. There were restaurants nearby so I had no trouble. I would like to stay here again if I come to Margaret River.

Friendly and informal small motel. Clean, modern facilities. A pleasant walk over the old settlement bridge into the town centre. Steve was charming and informative and made us feel we were visiting his home. A bonus was the atmospheric pub serving craft beers and tasty grub a five minute walk from the motel.

A wonderful place, surrounded by greenery and yet close to the village. Everything is well maintained, you have a separate terrace for each room and Steve is a great host on site. A friendly and open welcome, gave suggestions on what we could do, you just feel at home.

I had a perfect stay here! Steve is an amazing host and always on the lookout to make your stay as comfortable as possible, he also has a lot of tips on activities and provided a bike for me. The Room was really really clean and comfortable, the garden was well kept and all of the plants around the motel made for a really cozy atmosphere. Ich hatte eine super Zeit mit Steve, das Zimmer und Bad waren sauber und die Betten sehr bequem. Auch ein Fahrrad wurde mir bereitgestellt. Zudem ist das Motel sehr grün und liegt ein angenehmer Reichweite zu Margaret River

Sensational small motel right on the edge of the forest, as the name indicates. We stayed in a triple room with a huge bed, electric blanket, air con and heating, toaster, kettle etc. Everything was spotless. Steve, the owner was very helpful both in the months before our visit and also while we were there, providing us with links of what to see and do in Margaret River, where to eat, and even a festival that was scheduled to take place during our stay. Edge of the Forest is only a 5minute walk to the town centre. Highly recommend this motel.
