Had a beautiful Easter weekend at Spencer Court Hotel, the room was lovley and very comfortable, and we had a bouckney with sea view and over looking tennis Court ,lovley and very clean and nicely decorated, with a very clean onsuit, the breakfast every morning was most enjoyable and cooked well, complements to the chef,we didn't want for anything for breakfast 😋 as they cover all, looking foreward for booking again in the future when we are visiting our families .

Genuinely baffling that this place is considered 3* by anyone. On arrival, we were shown to room 7 (photos attached) - buckets on the floor to catch the rain coming through the ceiling, a massive water stain on the bed, a bathroom door that only opened from the outside (girlfriend was glad she wasn't staying on her own!) and a curtain rail falling off so you couldn't shut the curtains. The guy who checked us in was nice and friendly and moved us, but given they have 10 rooms and there was only 1 other couple there over the weekend, baffling they put us in there initially. Bit of a farce at breakfast too - partially my fault as I'd not read the blurb to say breakfast cost extra. We saw it was a B&B from the outside so thought we'd make the most of it. Only when we were eating were we informed that the (pretty grim, incorrect items of) breakfast we'd ordered were chargeable at £10 each! We'd have gone elsewhere if we'd known it was chargeable. Again, staff on the day were lovely and just felt bad for her having to be the face of such a poor place. Honestly baffling how this place functions. Would HIGHLY recommend finding somewhere else.

Very understated hotel but extremely welcoming at affordable prices, we ate a 14 item breakfast for £5, quite unbelievable in this day and age. Traditional English Bed & Breakfast with great value for money, there was even a 32 inch smart TV in the room. It helped that we were upgraded to a sea view room with Balcony. The view is worth it ! The Hotel is within a few minutes walk to the Central Harbour and High Street. Our Favourite places were Alarturka Turkish Restaurant, St Peters Fish & Chips and Weatherspoon, the biggest in UK, now that's large !

Firstly no one was there to greet me and my husband had to ring them. No one is there 24/7 only there to give you door key and don't see anyone when leaving. Was told to leave key on the bed. Breakfast was served by a young lad called Michael which was lovely and the lad very helpful and food was a great standard. One pillow each . Very small room could hardly move. Shower and toilet room very tiny. Shower door handle fell off had to get my husband to get me out. Other people that stayed there were moaning about there rooms also. Rooms very dirty and the bins not emptied in our room and had to ask the lad at breakfast if we could have more tea coffee supplies in our room. Very unsatisfied with this hotel our room was not on the website this room was something else. 😡😭

Spencer court well what can I say… Not a lot except it’s over priced shabby and makes easy hotels look like luxury! Room was small & dingey The window had a dirty net hanging up I pulled it back & the view was a brick wall. The tea cups were dirty. There was one small towel for 2 people. The bed was a cheap metal frame bed that had knobs missing and felt like it was going to collapse. 1 flat pillow each. There was an extension lead on the floor & a heater in the corner. The tv had some kind of tape over the corner, not sure why?? I poked my head in to the bathroom it was small and not very clean. You wouldn’t have room to dry your self once you’d showered. We felt this was more of a back packers hostel rather than a hotel. It was no way worth £105 we paid. We spoke with the guy that booked us in & he gave us a refund. My partner said the mattress was not very clean, I didn’t look by this time I’d had enough & went to book the travel lodge. If you are thinking of booking in be aware there’s no lift & breakfast is in the basement.

Victorian Hotel with updated facilities such as wifi,tv built-in ceiling fan. Nice friendly staff, the room was nice with a good view overlooking the park and the sea. However, the toilet and shower was on the small side.also, the beds bit hard for my liking. Parking is free as it's roadside but can be a lucky dip if you get a space or not. The breakfast is nice. Full English or fruit and cereal are the choices. Overall For the prices it's nice ifyou'rer disabled then look for something as thereares lots of stairs.

I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach.

We booked 3 rooms here as we were attending a wedding near by. We are quite pleased we did not need to spend more than a few hours there. Room 4, had a lovely bay window overlooking the square, a sea view, and a balcony. The bathroom was tiny but functional. The compliments end there as the bed was so uncomfortable I woke every half hr to hour with springs in my back or side, the pillows so flat there really was no point of them. The sheets had coffee stains on which begged the question of were they cleaned but we didn’t see until we got back at 1a.m. The wood on the balcony was rotten and I certainly did not want to go out on it.Room 2, was dark, dingy, dirty sheets, poo stains in the toilet, door handle falling off in the bathroom, bed broken and uncomfortable and had a bad smell to it. Room 1 was much the same as 2+4 although the bathroom was larger. Spencer Court is an old building in need of updating and more like Faulty Towers. The young man at reception was polite and the fridge in the lounge with water for guests was most welcome.

The staff- Gary and Hamid - were friendly and helpful, carrying my heavy suitcase, up three flights of stairs. The WiFi connection was wonderful. The breakfasts were generous and delicious. My en suite had everything I needed.
