I was greeted by a female staff who was talking to someone in the lobby & Guillermo checked into my loft suite (339). I told Guillermo it was my birthday weekend & some friends/family were coming by. He said I could use the outside patio. I got to my suite & used the toilet but it was rocking from side-to-side. I reported it to Guillermo, who explained their maintenance guy (MG) would be in at 8am. Since I'd drove 2 hours, the toilet flushed & Guillermo was nice I dealt with it & scheduled an 8:30 am with the MG. No one came to fix the toilet by 8:50am. I called & spoke with Alfonso. He said the MG arrives @ 9am & offered the lobby toilet. I declined the lobby toilet. The MG came & left. Alfonso called saying it'd take 2+ hrs to fix. I told him I didn't want anyone in my room when I wasn't there. Alfonso sent the MG with keys to a larger suite (340), with no counter space & a connecting door to another room, which I could clearly hear the other guest conversation. I ask Alfonso if they'd bring up table. He said no. I said the room won't work because I needed counter space for food/drinks. He called back sounding angry & sent the MG to show me room 333, adding if it I didn't like it then I could leave but wouldn't get my money back. I said I'd been patient, paid over $500, now it's starting to be a problem & it's not my fault the toilet was broke, then asked for compensation for my time/trouble. He said he acted immediately & asked if I "touch the other room", giggled & stated I couldn't use the patio or have guest or he'd have to "evict me", but he'd give me free parking. I asked for the manager. He said he was the manager. I ended the call. Later, I went to the lobby to greet my friends & ask about guest parking but no one was there. I showed my friends where the parking lot was, which had been closed off with yellow police tape. I lifted the tape to let my friends in & another couple I'd met the day before. Jose (staff) came running out, yelling @ me about lifting up the tape. I told him he needed to calm down & asked his name about 5 times before he told me. He finally asked if I was a guest, while still hollering. I calmly told him I was tired of dealing with bad attitudes from the staff & he's lucky I'm trying to have a good time. He said he didn't want to get fired. I told him he needed to do his job then & mentioned that they tape made their parking lot look like a murder scene. He said he would charge my friend for parking. I said if he'd been monitoring the lobby my friend would have already paid for parking. Jose walked away, still wasn't present when we went back through the lobby & I didn't see him again although we were in/out the lobby most of the night. I didn't start having fun until about 10 pm, as I spent most of my day dealing with disrespectful staff. To make matters worse, I was supposed to have a 2 Queen bed loft but only got 1 bed, room 339 had a blue sticker on the door stating it had been sanitized, neither of the other 2 rooms had that sticker. Room 333 had a much smaller balcony, pink nail polish/stains/a hair pen/some large dark chuck on the on the carpet. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. The outside of the hotel is not well lit & 2 of my friends passed it by, then called me to come outside. However, it was in a great location & 2 of the lofts looked like the internet pictures, as well as the outside patio that I didn't use. I got a deal for my suite, but still paid over $500, just to be stressed out by staff that didn't want to do their jobs or clean the rooms. I never raised my voice/used profanity/or laid hands on anyone while trying to work the toilet situation out, which I shouldn't have had to deal with in the 1st place. It is way too many nice hotels in that area to have to put up with the unprofessional staff, dirty rooms, & broken toilets. No wonder they still had empty rooms.
