Elegance Hotels International Marmaris

As previously reviewed this is a 3* hotel not 5 as advertised... with the exception of about 3 the staff are unfriendly and never smile... The buffet restaurant is overcrowded and you are always having to ask for cutlery given but no smile. Food was basic and bland if your a picky eater you will definitely struggle here... there is ala carte but its pricy considering you are all inclusive there are nicer restaurants a few feet away drinks are basic and very limited choice also very weak ( we drank elsewhere and could taste the difference immediately) barstaff again not friendly ( one even told a guest to f off which was totally unwarranted) ... rooms are basic we paid extra for a land view and literally look out at rooftops and other rooms so do not upgrade. Wifi is poor .Cleaniness isnt too bad Entertainment poor kids disco same routine everyday 9pm _930 adult entertainment 10pm lasts 1/2 and is poor dance music played all day and night like it's intended to keep guests away. Would I come to Turkey again yes Would I stay at the elegance No

Firstly, remember this is Turkey not Europe or the western world with standards, rules and regulations for the interest of the people. I stayed at this hotel in the summer and was appalled at how their rating of a 5* hotel differed to a real 5* hotel we are used to. The room was old fashioned, dated, dirt under the bed, stained tiles in the bathroom, dirty bed throw on the bed. They would never replace towels unless you screamed for them at reception even then they would forget at times. Staff were unfriendly but the management was by far worse. No greeting guests or smiling, almost like they believed to be the prime minister or something. A very backward third world attitude. For food, be prepared to queue outside like sheep until they let you in. The food itself is mostly frozen and of a low quality. This is everything you would notice if you are used to true 5* standards otherwise some of these issues may not bother you. All in all I would never recommend this hotel and also heard of missing personal items from guests rooms so beware. Ps. Do not buy anything from the hotel. Go to the high street.

We booked this hotel 3 weeks before got a great deal 1st time in this hotel but been going to Marmaris a lot of years tried many others but I got say this was best one we had stayed in food was great lots of choice does get a bit busy first thing before breakfast and tea but always plenty there it’s nice you can serve your own beer and wine in restaurant there is also a separate coffee shop where u can sit which is nice There is 2 pools one on front which plays all the music and a quieter one round the back food is served there from 12 so nice and quieter but it is for kids as well so in kids season will get bit busier Rooms were nice bed was quite big very comfy bed and pillows which you want we had a side sea view on 3 rd floor lovely view from balcony only downfall was night time with it bring on front we didn’t go bk room till after 12 but the Irish bar next door didn’t turn their music down after 12 which was quite annoying we ended up putting ear plugs in Very strict who comes in hotel as well from front Entertainment was on every night for few hours Would return again.

Our house keeper was always smiling and she like to chat to us every morning. Excellent manners wish everyone went to work so happy .. Cannan Alp Also the 2men on desk the night we arrived were excellent . We were there from 10th late into that night Suzanne monteith & ada We also had great spa days from April & another girl both from Bali were Beautiful girls .. The only this I would say need more than 3 cocktails on list for All . And had to pay £50 for 4 strawberry daiquiris which is more expensive than Edinburgh hotels city centre prices……

My husband & I have just returned from here & it is a lovely clean hotel. Some of the room furnishings could do with updating but apart from that it was fab value for the money. The food was plentiful with lots of choice & fresh. Weather was beautiful every day. 28-30 degrees. Pool areas were kept immaculate with staff picking up cups & plates left by people around the pool a few times a day. The pontoon on the beach was the best experience with steps to the sea & really comfy sun beds. This area was kept spotless. Good evening entertainment as well. The young lady operating the bar area at the Silence pool (pool to the back & quieter) was quite rude & unhelpful. She clearly did not want to be there & all our party noticed this which was not very pleasant. My husband left his phone in the Taxi taking us to Dalaman airport on our return, so I phoned the hotel on the 10th October to ask if the gentleman on reception could call them. He said he would & he would call me back but he never did. We then phoned the emergency transfer number & they immediately got hold of the taxi driver & he kindly returned it to us at the airport. I expected better service from the hotel as we were waiting to check in at the airport & our phone signal was poor. Apart from these points it was a fab holiday.

Pleasantly surprised as reading the reviews on route I was a bit concerned. To be honest I stayed at Marmaris Palace in May and its sister Grand Yazici Club Turban in July, so I think I can make a fair imput to this boutique hotel. With regards to staffing and problems therein I have to disagree- i found a very warm welcome from Serdar and his team front of house. I have found everyone to be friendly, I think it depends on the way you engage with people. For sure in the kitchen they could smile more and be more engaging. I have only one complaint with one person who doesn’t engage and clearly not a happy bunny ( may be stuff going on in her life and therefore rude to name ). This place is growing on me, however for me the food is the problem. Taking to some staff it’s been the same for 20 years. Breakfast for me is very poor, limited fruits no fresh juice / sweetened juices that will rot your teeth and the variety is way below par if trying to maintain its 4 star status. Lunch and dinner is better but very repeated, and you simply cannot serve salmon daily as it can be considered a bit risky from a health perspective. Security is also very poor and not much presence. Rooms lovely, staff make up for everything but sadly the food is not as good as it should be.!
