Dar Andamaure

First time visitors to Marrakesh and we wanted to stay in a traditional Riad. After hours of research, we opted for this one, and we couldn’t fault anything about it. Communication with the hosts was easy and swift. They arranged for us to be collected from Marrakesh Airport, which was a blessing; very long queues for Immigration. No ATMs at the airports and more queuing at the money exchange. The Riad is located a two minute walk from the main square and is an oasis of peace away from the madness. Immaculately clean room and loads of information provided for our trip after we had checked in. So many places to relax in or out of the sun. We chose to eat in 2 nights, and the food was excellent. Need to order in the morning for dinner the same night. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Marrakesh and would definitely return. The staff are a credit to the owners. Zim and Abdul were so helpful and welcoming. Not forgetting the maids who did a fabulous job of keeping everywhere super clean and tidy. Words cannot describe the fantastic experience we had on our stay at Riad Dar Andamaure! Marie, Herve and the team made us feel so welcome from start to finish. The Riad is a beautiful sanctuary in the heart of the medina, just minutes from the bustle of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and ideally located for exploring the sights in the old town. Our suite Perle du Desert was tastefully decorated with traditional features and had everything you needed. Breakfast every morning was a selection of different fruits, eggs, bread and pastries and was served with a smile and welcome by Abdullah and Zin. On our first morning Marie was thorough in explaining the practicalities of Marrakesh and recommended itineraries to avoid doing too much each day. Marie organised a private trip to the Atlas Mountains, valleys and desert with Adil where we experienced the culture and welcoming hospitality of Morocco. We especially enjoyed our pot making experience and hospitality in a village which was devastated in the 2023 earthquake. On our last full day in Marrakesh it was forecast to rain so we decided to experience a Hammam which Marie booked for us. This was a lovely and relaxing experience after a busy week of sightseeing! I think the best way to summarise our stay is this, ‘we arrived as guests but leave as friends’ Thank you to Marie, Herve and staff for making our stay a memorable time.

We have recently just had the pleasure of staying here and cannot recommend it highly enough. From start to finish there is no other word for our experience here other than exceptional! Marie and Herve took the time to talk us through the best ways to experience Marrakech as it was our first visit, as well as the best ways to navigate the city, we would not have seen half of what we did without them. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay and every member of the staff made us feel so welcome, like we were home. The breakfasts were varied, filling and so tasty. The roof terrace was a highlight as it has a stunning view of the city and mountains. The room was beautiful, spotless and incredibly comfortable. If you can, stay at this stunning Riad, you will have a wonderful experience, thankyou to everyone there for making our stay so magical.

The Riad is perfectly located, beautifully presented and welcoming. Marie and Herve are the perfect hosts and their team are so kind and helpful. A haven in the heart of the medina. Great value and highly recommend for singles, couples, families and small groups.

I recently had the privilege to visit Marrakech for a mother-daughter trip. It was wonderful, and that was, in a large part, down to our experience staying at Dar Andamaure. The owners Marie and Hervé are just brilliant and what they've created at this riad is just magic. It's small and intimate, which means they have time to stop and chat to you – the gave us the most brilliant dinner recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed to make it a holiday my Mum and I will never forget. The staff who work there are also a delight – Zin and Abdullah (the reception/waiting staff members) are warm, friendly and attentive and will do everything they can to ensure you feel comfortable and happy. Their ready smiles and welcoming, warm nature creates a special kind of energy that you'll be sure to feel. Breakfast every morning on the terrace was incredible and something we looked forward to every night before falling asleep. Looking over the roof tops to watch the sunrise, listening to bird song whilst sipping at a glass of mint tea or mug of coffee was just magic. Another thing I feel should be mentioned is the attention to detail! The lovely, smiley ladies who clean the rooms folded up my pyjamas. Zin remembered that I drink coffee and my Mum drinks tea. Little things like that just made it so different to what you'd usually experience. We feel so grateful to everyone at Dar Andamaure for having made our time in Morocco a beautiful experience than neither of us will ever forget. Words can't really express how special it was. Keep up the great work guys! Anyone thinking about staying at this place, don't hesitate, because I'm sure you won't find this kind of experience elsewhere.

2 night stay, family of 4 with 2 adult children. Warm hospitality, very helpful advice and help with booking and finding local restaurants, spa, porters, transport etc. Very central location. Great breakfasts. Immaculate and beautifully restored property. Excellent air con, hot powerful showers, hair dryers, bottled water in rooms, brand new bathrooms, quick wifi, large roof terrace for breakfast, plentiful shaded seating areas, sun beds with towels and wide brimmed hats. A few damaged buildings in the medina but overall everything functioning as usual. The media only depicting the few areas of damage rather than a balanced view. Wish we had had longer.

We stayed at Dar Andamaure for slightly more than a week. The riad, the hosts (Herve en Marie) and its staff (Zine, Abdoellah and the two ladies that are managing the cooking and cleaning) were all fantastic. Tripple A rating for both the accomodation and hospitality. Highly recommended. Eve and Ben, the Netherlands.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Most of all the wonderful owners and staff who collectively make this a home from home and an oasis of calm in the midst of the madness of the Medina. Fantastic roof terrace. Excellent decor and ambience. Delicious breakfast. Takes a bit of navigating the Medina streets to get there but do it - you won't be disappointed!

We returned from a fantastic stay at the Dar Andamaure last week. The quality, cleanliness and service at the property is amazing - on arrival we were greeted by Marie who spent some time with us running through do's and dont's and explaining places to visit, trips available and recommendations for restaurants. We ate at the Dar the first evening where the food and service was absolutely first class and such a pleasure to be sitting under the stars on the roof terrace. Everyone at Dar Andamaure is so friendly and you really do feel like the staff are there to spoil you and to ensure you enjoy every part of your stay - nothing is too much trouble. Marie arranged a guide for us to visit the Atlas Mountains and have lunch in a Berber house which was such a contrast from the madness of the Souks but such an enjoyable day. I would highly recommend the Dar Andamaure - you will have the most wonderful experience from start to finish - a real oasis of calm.
