Grand Hotel Dei Cavalieri

We had a great time at Grand Hotel dei Cavalieri as a family with a 3-year-old child. - End of May/June are perfect, not crowded and not too hot - Great location, 15 minutes on foot from the beach, or use the cool tuk-tuk shuttle with Susy - Nice spacious clean rooms, very comfortable beds (light sleepers better have ear plugs just in case) - Super friendly and professional staff - Delicious buffet breakfast, thank you Anna for the gluten-free muffins and Nicoletta for the tasty cappuccino! - Very diverse dinner buffet with excellent local ingredients. Thank you Lello and Giuseppe, the local red wine Susumaniello was great! Highly recommend the package with dinner included. - The pool is special, with yellow and blue tiles to resemble the sea, great for kids - and for aperitivo! Bartender Mimmo makes great Aperol spritz, or ask him for a glass of local liqueur - Great beach with different types of sand and also some large flat rocks. Comfortable sunchairs and nice big umbrellas. Crystal clear water in all shades of blue. Easy to get sandwiches, fruit, drinks and enjoy in the shade of the trees. - Perfect to explore the south of Puglia by car. The area of Salento is stunning. Check out Lecce, Ostuni, Alberobello, explore the beaches and the picturesque countryside of olive trees and vineyards. The town of Campomarino is very small and the sand dunes make for a nice walk. We hope to come back in the future!

Our room was really nice and had a great view of the city. The staff was very friendly, and the room was very clean. The breakfast was very fresh and good quality. The hotel tries to be a "high-end" hotel but there were some challenges: Our room on the 9th floor was just below the roof bar open till 01:00. This was extremely loud from metal chairs being moved on the stone floor. The last day we had no hot water for showering. The room temperature had a maximum of 21 degrees which is rather low when it's 33 degrees outside. The hotel is located really close to everything. I would recommend staying here but maybe go for one of the lower floors.

I N C O M P E T E N Z A allo stato puro!appena andato via (per fortuna) e ieri pomeriggio alle 14 ci chiedono 25 euro per un ombrellone e due lettini alle 14 di pomeriggio se nn fosse che l’ (UNICO) mezzo di trasposto per 4 persone ci ha “gentilmente” condotti in spiaggia dopo le 15 dopo quasi un ora di attesa in reception perché ovviamente si crea la fila(ricordiamo che dovrebbe essere un 4 stelle).tutto finito??macche’..ci dicono di lasciare il cane in camera perché la spiaggia nn accetta animali e appena arrivati ci siamo trovati davanti uno zoo..ci chiedono 3 euro per il noleggio di un telo che avevo tra l altro dimenticato in reception (quindi nemmeno utilizzato) e che ci hanno sempre gentilmente addebitato nonostante le lamentele sull attesa del mezzo di trasporto per la spiaggia. Tutto questo alla modica cifra di 200 euro A GIUGNO!P.S. Portate gli occhiali da sole e crema abbronzante per dormire perché il buio in camera è un miraggio!

We checked in at 13.30, two sunbeds and an umbrella for 50€, no half day discount. Whatever, it was the last day of vacation and we were looking for an easy solution, with shower, restrooms, changing rooms... Here's the fact: there are no services included! No changing room, the restrooms (dirty) have to be paid separately and there wasn't even the toilet paper and the shower has to be paid separately and it's open and only cold! Of course, you can't bring food or drinks from the outside. Unacceptable, there are no excuses.

Attentive staff that go beyond to satisfy your need. Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast room with wonderful natural light beaming in. More than decent lunch. Great for couples and families. I should add that on one day I felt a little unwell due to an ongoing problem that i’m dealing with so spent the entire day in bed; Not only were the staff excellent in tending to me whilst I was unwell (including going to the pharmacy) but they paid me extra special attention during the rest of my stay. Classic Italian hospitality!!! Thank you so much!

ECCELLENTE VACANZA! ECCELENTE STRUTTURA! ECCELLENTE LIDO! ECCELLENTE PERSONALE! Abbiamo appena trascorso un'incantevole soggiorno al Gran Hotel Cavalieri. È stato tutto perfetto: struttura ben curata, ottime le pulizie, personale qualificato e gentilissimo. Una nota particolare per la dolcissima Federica della reception sempre disponibile e attenta. Impeccabile il servizio navetta grazie alla professionalità del simpatico Salvatore. Gentilissimi tutti i camerieri ottima la cucina, prodotti sempre freschi e di qualità.
