My husband and I travelled with TUI in August 2023 to stay in the Villa Pina Hotel. On arrival we received a warm welcome from the owner, Francesco, who showed us to our room and explained the meal times. Our room was across the road from the renowned restaurant Antico Francischello-da Peppino, to which the Italians travel far and wide to eat. Pavarotti was also a regular here. Our room and the hotel were immaculately clean. Crisp white cotton sheets on a kingsize bed and a patio overlooking the olive groves and lemon groves, greeted us as we entered our room, which was large and also contained some beautiful antique furniture and a large television. Our bathroom was also large, with a walk in rain shower, bidet, sink, toilet and plenty of fresh clean white towels and toiletries which were replenished every day. The patio contained sun loungers, two chairs and a table and was very quiet and private, with a side sea view. Throughout the hotel and restaurant is a wonderful fresh smell....maybe it was the lemon groves, we weren't sure. The hotel is sited on the main Sorrento coastal road which, being the only road, is busy, however from inside the hotel and restaurant one cannot hear the traffic and it is wonderfully peaceful and quiet. This is a small authentic and traditional family run hotel, and the owners Firminia and Francesco work very hard from dawn to dusk 7 days a week. They are very friendly, as are all the wonderful staff, and cannot do enough to help you, and whilst they tolerated my very rusty Italian, they speak excellent English! The gourmet restaurant is outstanding with food beyond compare. You may sit where you choose, and all the tables have pressed linen tablecloths, serviettes and waiter service. From the restaurants you have a wonderful view of the island of Capri and in the evening you can see the sun setting over the island. Our holiday was half board and this was excellent value for money. Breakfast was plentiful and the evening meal consisted of 3 courses, with a choice of main courses and a choice of desert from the sweet trolley. The food was excellent and so on several occasions we also chose to have lunch in the hotel (which we paid extra for, but it was well worth it and still very good value for money!). All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and you could also get hot drinks throughout the day which as a hot chocolate addict suited me!! Down below from the restaurant is a very peaceful olive garden overlooking the sea and Capri where I would sit in the afternoon and read my book or just watch the ships and yachts sail past. Just outside the Villa Pina is a bus stop where the buses run every 20 minutes or so, and from here for just 2 euros one can travel almost anywhere. We went to the small town of Massa Lubrense where there is a beautiful church and plenty of small cafes and restaurants. We also travelled to Sorrento, full of shops and cafes. Francesco will arrange a trip to the Lemon Farm for you, and
