A gem of a camping ground. Beautiful setting with views to Mt Te Aroha. We had a lovely camping site right next to the hot pool and shower/bathroom. Good facilities; I loved the mineral pool and established trees and gardens. Kids would really enjoy the playground. Highly recommend!

I have used campsites all over Europe and New Zealand and this has been a stand out. Really nice location, very reasonably priced, good facilities, and really nice staff. I usually stay in a tent but I arrived at the campsite just before Cyclone Lola hit NZ. The staff looked after me and made sure I was ok by upgrading me to a cabin free of charge to keep me out the worst of the weather. It's an awesome campsite with really great people working here and looking after you. 5 stars. Thank you Te Aroha Holiday Park. Really appreciate you going above and beyond to help me.

Had a wonderful ladies get away from the city. I thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil setting and the majestic Te Aroha mountain beside us. Loved the hot spa only a stones throw away from our Unit. Ideal space in Unit 2 which accommodated us well. Very clean and comfortable. I had the best nights sleep. Thankyou to the host who was very welcoming and respectful. Would definately recommend to friends and family and look forward to another get away such as this.

The tourist flat we stayed in was very spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with plates and utensils as well as a bar fridge (but no ice box) there is a stovetop and oven and a microwave. There was parking just outside the door. There were 2 TV's including one in the bedroom. The shower water pressure wasn't that great, and we were kept awake by the guest next door talking loudly on his phone (unit 3) until around midnight despite camp rules saying quiet time from 8pm to 8 am. The camp is a short 2 kms to town which takes around 5 minutes' drive. You need to bring your own soap and shampoo as these are not provided and luckily if only 2 of you are staying there is a good selection of pillows to choose from. Apart from the guest next door the camp is quiet and peaceful as there is no road noise as the cabin is set far from the road. The camp office hours close at 5pm so if you want anything you need to use the black phone (actually white) outside the office door.

I'm most pleased to provide this review for the Te Aroha Holiday Park. Their communications were friendly, helpful, prompt, and clear, including a confirmation letter and directions to the cabin. The cabin was cosy, clean and warm, given it was mid-winter, and the facilities and grounds were of a good standard. Very good value. I recommend you stay a night or three at the Te Aroha Holiday Park!!

We will be back! Exceptionally lovely one-night stay. Manager was very friendly and super helpful. Lovely setting in the country but close to town. Great playground for kids (big kids and small kids) plus a pool room and TV room, lots of books etc. We had a tourist cabin for 5 people : cosy, very comfortable, perfect kitchen set-up (oven, stove, fridge, sink, microwave), table and chairs, bathroom, clean and neat. Double bed in main room, large second room to sleep 3, TV and settee in both rooms. Freezing night but we were toastie warm and cosy. Our cabin was between two other cabins which were both occupied but the insulation must be good as we didn't hear a thing. Everything was perfect. If you want classic kiwi bach, clean, warm, and so comfortable and at an extremely reasonable price, this is the place. There's also a swimming pool and spa which we didn't use but it all looks really nice. We will be back and next time we'll plan a longer break here.
