The hotel locates right at the water front of the beautiful Matsushima. Guests stayed at the ocean-view rooms were lucky to enjoy the excellent scenes of all islands scattering along the coasts. Services were very good. Staff were friendly and eager to help.

I am so glad I chose Komatsu-kan during my stay in Matsushima. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. When I told him I am a vegetarian, he kindly informed the kitchen to exclude animal flesh and seafood from my meal. (Usually, hotels ignored my food request, or they just gave me tofu and pickles for my meal.) The next morning, I was so surprised to see my breakfast. I loved the fresh salad, steamed vegetables, over-easy eggs, chawan-mushi, and the pickles even tasted better than before.
Then the room surprised me with the pine tree and the beautiful sea view. The next morning I woke up at 4:45 to see the sunrise. Just from my room, I could see the sun slowly rising from the other side of the sea. Stunning! I really enjoyed the little Me time here.
Actually, this hotel is well-maintained, and that helps raise the value of it. I also love the fresh little flowers right next to the washing basin. And the people working here are quite ya-sa-shi. They are kind and gentle. Generally speaking, this is a nice place worth staying and relaxing in.

It is a one of best hotels during our three weeks Japan trip. Everything is good. We will recommend it to all of our friends and may be coming back at near future.

There are one or two waiters in the store who can speak English, but forget about Chinese.
However, we were picked up from the train station very politely and dropped off at the train station when we left. The attitude is really great. Both the bar and the restaurant are very attentive.
The hot spring can be reserved for 50 yuan per person. But it’s not as good as the public one that doesn’t require money, and there aren’t many people who don’t want money.
Songdo becomes beautiful because of this hotel.

Hot springs are inferior to small public baths in the neighborhood. There are only three dressing tables and the large bath is so small that it's embarrassing to even call it a hot spring.
Other hot springs have hot spring water gushing out, but this one just gets water in a small bath and there are no showers.. It's near the seaside, so the surrounding scenery is pretty and the food is okay. In the hot spring, there were no cotton swabs or toothbrushes, and other people entered the bath as if they were disappointed, and everyone quickly left. We also didn't enter the large bath just once.
The price is 58,000 yen for two people with partial sea view.. My husband (Japanese) said that it doesn't seem like hot spring water.
I have been to many hot springs. Everything else is fine, but ♨️ is the worst

It's a great location, but it's a little inconvenient to walk outside to play. I have attached a photo of the view from my room.
Service is great. My mother was old, but I was able to get a room near the elevator, so it was easy to move.
