Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Dogo (Old:Yukai Resort Dogo Saichoraku)

It's on a slope, but you can wait for the shuttle bus in front of the Starbucks at Dogo Onsen Station for only 60 yen. The hot springs are comfortable, and the buffet is also recommended, it even has arcade games. Highly recommend!

The hotel's location is quite a distance from the train station, requiring a transfer to other public transport or using the hotel's shuttle service. However, the hotel's service and facilities are excellent. The room this time was very spacious, with an amazing, unobstructed view from the window.

The food was good for the price, and overall I was satisfied. The only downside is that there's only one smoking room on the first floor, making it difficult to move around. Heating relies on the room heater, which makes it dry. It's a bit of a walk from Dogo Onsen Station. When the morning shuttle wasn't running, I called a taxi to catch the airport bus, but they said it was too close. I had no choice but to walk with my heavy suitcase. I highly recommend this place for families.

It's within walking distance of Dogo Onsen. The slope is a bit steep, so using the shuttle bus would be even more convenient. You can visit Isanami Shrine from the hotel without having to climb a steep slope (enter from the parking lot entrance). The hot spring water was just the right temperature and felt great. Apparently, you could see Matsuyama Castle from the open-air bath (although I can't see it because I have poor eyesight). The twin room was a bit small, but there was plenty of space to spread out my luggage. It would be nice to have a place to store my suitcase (you'll have to place your suitcase or backpack directly on the floor). The breakfast buffet was also extensive and delicious! My favorites were the French toast and the sea bream rice dish (or sea bream chazuke).
