Minimal facilities, restaurant not open yet, and rooms in annexe have a temporary builder’s door.

Beautiful chateau a little bit out of the way, Main restaurant is very good, make reservations. Room was large and comfortable. Staff was helpful. No elevator on the top floor is problematic.

We like the quietness of the property and its location. Plenty of free parking. The staff is cery hardworking and very helpful.the two restaurants are very nice

In many ways the hoitel is better than the overall score I have given it. The main reasons for the low score: 1 - Our room on the groundfloor of the annexe had no sound insulation from the room above. ( woken at 1am to listen to loud voices and again at 6.15am. Every footstep above could be heard. 2 - The shower in this room was over a bath. The bath was 'plastic' and moved under my weight. Not what I would have expected in this class of hotel. What's wrong with a walk in shower? However, on the positives: - The staff were great. The Orangerie restaurant served superb food. The pool was great. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The grounds are superb and the ambience is welcoming. A great place to stay if visiting Puy Du Fou.

Very disappointing. Room was functional but v dated (bad 1980s) low quality decor e.g flimsy black wardrobe with no doors. Also, i disliked the fact they charge extra for coffee in the room and would not give me any milk for tea in the morning. On the positives, the bathroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. V basic and unluxurious for the price.

Beautiful small hotel , very nice room and good restaurant. restaurant staff were very good especially the lady manager. The reception staff were awful , no smile , no welcome , no information about the hotel. The lady that we checked in and out with seemed to take offence in any thing we asked. The guy was better , but when my wife sliced her finger on the room fridge door , I ran down to ask for a plaster , I was told after 10 minutes that there are no plasters in the hotel (strange with 3 working restaurants) and I had to drive to get some . This hotel could be a hidden gem , but customer service needs approving .

Very beautiful and quiet hotel in a beautiful castle in Vendée. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The staff is friendly, the breakfast and dinner are very good. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in this area. The restaurant is very good for dinner.
